Read to me.
What? You can't see?
The words on the page,
you need glasses at your age?
Oh! I'm covering them up,
with my furs and big butt!
Think that's funny, you say,
you think I'm in the way?
I see a bare leg, not far from my paw,
be nice to me or it might feel my claw!
No, no. No threats little June, little dear,
or bedtime stories you will never hear.
Sorry Mom, I'll be sweet, cross my heart, love you best.
Then a story we shall read, before our bed and our rest.
Thank you.

You do NOT have big butt, Junie Sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteYou gotta sit next to her and not on top of the book and she will read to you!
ReplyDeleteJune there is something about the joy of infusing the story directly into our fur that our parents will never understand. Have patience my dear and wait for the story you will hear
ReplyDeleteJuney darling it is feline Friday and you are front and center as you should be!!
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia

ReplyDeleteYeah, don't hurt her. Call me and I'll take care of it with my beak and claws.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Claws speak volumes LOL.
ReplyDeleteJune, I bet she’d much rather pay attention to you than read that book. :)
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are an avid listener.
ReplyDeleteThat was cute but I was waiting for June to use that claw. You know, just for fun.
ReplyDeleteYou need two books, one for June to lie on, and one for Mommy to read.
