DAY DREAMS
Hey, kitty girl, where did you go?
Are you far away in day dreams,
gone to kitty places I cannot know.
When you look away toward nothing,
or nothing so it appears to me,
I know you do see something,
that I am not allowed to see.
Yet, if your little mind could only share with mine,
the mysteries of your world,
our life together would be more complete
with those mysteries unfurled.
I'd understand so much more
about you, my little cat.
Your needs and wants, your heart and soul,
oh, how I long for that.
that is super sweet...
ReplyDeletetotally awesome photo, love it love it. the poem is purrfect and says it all.
ReplyDeleteSweet photos and great words about her day dreams.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhhhhh! The mysterious mind of we cats :)
ReplyDeleteWhile we do not share the reason we stare we still love you :)

What a beautiful poem to go with your perfect photo, Juney.
ReplyDeleteMom wishes she knew what we are thinking too.
ReplyDeleteUs cats like to keep the humans guessing.
ReplyDeleteWe love them so much, but they are mysterious.
ReplyDeleteYet you'll never know. Cats are indeed mysteries. Fun mysteries though.

What a beautiful poem. If only we could tell our pawrents what we are thinking. Sometimes they know...like when it's time for one of our meals, but other times it would help if we could speak the same language.
ReplyDeleteWhat a loving poem, I think we all feel that with our kitties sometimes. I wonder if they feel that too when they see us reading or typing, wondering what it is that holds our attention?
ReplyDeleteIt would be good to know where you go in your dreams, but that is something we will never find out.
ReplyDeleteI love this! You're so right.
ReplyDeleteIt's a magical mystery tour!
ReplyDeleteNice poem. And adorable shot of June. XO
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to know what's going on in those beautiful brains.
ReplyDeleteAwww, your poetry is so touching and full of wisdom about the love between Kitty and Human.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet dreamy picture, June!
Sounds pretty accurate for a cat.
ReplyDeleteThey do live in their own world, don’t they?

What a lovely poem your picture has evoked! Dani stares off like that, too, fixed on something I cannot see. I think she sees Dante, Domino and Dylan at different times.
ReplyDeleteJune is probably mentally communicating to someone (between the spirit, June and the bedpost!).
