SEARCHING FOR MOM

I told you yesterday was a "happy day", but that wasn't the whole truth, like nothing "but the truth".  I mean it started out happy with sunshine and all.  After Mom promised I could do my bloggie again for this luv-month, she went out in search of cat foodz for me which I've heard is hard to find!  Her two online orders are delayed, delayed.  Three hours and four stores later, she got back home, and she was NOT HAPPY.  Yeah, she had foodz, not too many of my faves, but then I mostly eat what I am served.  But she also came home with a hurty headache and a hurty backache and a grumpycat sort of mood.  I kept my distance, I'm a smart cat.

So once my foodz when into my third-drawer foodz drawer, she sat down to do some of my bloggie work, a half hour later I heard her meowing and knew something was wrong. Her meows got louder and were including some words my kittie-ears are too young to hear.  Then, she said "gone, all gone, I cannot find all the frebary stuff, all the balentines, all the seuss day art ... all gone ..."

After lengthy consultation with a smart friend who knows a lot more than she does, thank cod for smart friends, she learned she had to go up to the clouds.  She'd never been there before.  Oh, it was there on her 'puter, and it always told her it was updating and doing great things, but she'd never signed in or set up a pawsword (oh my, so many pawswords to remember!)

How does one walk around in a cloud?  Won't you fall through?  I was scared for her!  How do you know which cloud is yours, there are lots of them up there some days!  And they move by so fast!  What if mine Mommy goes up in a cloud and it drifts far away from home and she can't get back?  But she said, "I have to do this Juney, there's just too too much stuff we lost, my shaking paws deleted it all by accident and then emptied the trash bin without thinking, a bad thing.  I have to find it!"

But what if you run into aliens in space?  Or bump into space junk?  Or one of Elon's rocket launches ... we never know when he's going to launch for sure, it might zoom into you!  Hey, we watched that movie "Don't Look Up", a comet is on it's way, ya know!

MEH!

JUNE SEARCHING THE CLOUDS,
SEARCHING FOR MOM

PS: if you even took time to read all this (thank you) no need to bother commenting.  Mom got into the cloud.  Mom found all her stuff in the cloud.  Mom got out of the cloud.  Mom just had to vent a little about her un-happy Tuesday and how clumsy she was.  You would think she had no thumbs!  It took much time, errors and mistakes and redos, and created another head-and-back hurty, but in the end success was achieved and all is right in June's world, all is right in Mom's world and we are happy we had a good sized bottle of Aleve.

  1. We spend a lot of money on our computer so it has tons of storage because Mom is terrified of losing anything. Our stuff is saved in the cloud, on our computer and on an external storage drive. Losing thing is scary and Mom would lose her mind if she lost our stuff. We totally get it. Glad your things are safe and sound.

  2. Ground control to Juney's mom...
I'm so glad yours mommy found her pictures and returned safely back to you.

My mommy spends a lot of time in the clouds, sometimes I worry too. But she always comes back too.

    Your brofur, Pip

  3. Tell your mom that the biped gets it, June. ♥ As for the cat food situation, it's not good here, either! Almost 2 full years into this pandemic, we ought not to have these supply issues any longer, we feel. But it is what it is.

BTW, we learned last week that most of this internet "cloud" stuff actually functions because of cables under the oceans! So there you go...clouds, oceans...sounds crazy to us! Better just to get out of the house and go do some real cloud-watching, or listen to the waves lap along the shore, if one lives near water. Easier on the brain, better for the soul. :-)

  4. June, you'd better keep a sharp eye out for your humom's computer headaches!
Just so you know, my laptop computer storage is all used up, but I won't use the cloud!
I have two external drives, which has everything copies, but I still cannot bring myself to delete anything.
Am considering dropping serious $ to buy a new laptop with mega storage, but The Hubby feels this is extraordinarily wasteful. Darn him!

  5. many thanks to that friend who helped you find the cloud.. I am so paranoid I back up from the cloud and have cloud, computer and external drives. any of those 3 can lose all the photos at any time but i hope with three at least one will be available. I even put our family photos on a flash drive and put it in the saftey box with papers.

  7. OH my stars Juney I'm so sorry about the food issue. It amazes me (when I do my shopping on Thursdays) that there is plenty of dog food. Not one empty spot on the shelves but the cat food is like a scary dark hole. Madi would have been in a world of hurt. She only ate Fancy Feast Pate and only had 3 flavors she liked.
As for the huMom and her 'puter woes I felt her headACHE. So thankful she found it all

  9. I'm glad she found all her work and I'm double glad she found you some food. I hear that's becoming a big problem. Mom need to look for alternate ways to feed you that's healthy. I know she's already thinking along those lines.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  10. We're glad to hear your mom was able to find all the stuff she needed in the cloud. It can be scary when you think you've lost so much of your work. Our mom has been telling us about how empty the cat food shelves are in the stores. Our paws are crossed that your mom can always find the food she needs for you.

  14. This food shortage for both kitties and pups needs to STOP! Mom normally gets my foodables from either Chewy or Amazon and we never have a problem with waiting. I hope this might help you out, Juney, and we are so happy that everything is happy once again in your cloud.

  15. June, we sure are glad your mom found all her things, AND your foodz! We are patiently watching out the window for our order to arrive, and we sent our human out yesterday to hunt for us. Human hunting is not anywhere hear as fun as our hunting, so we just told her what she'd found was great. We all stay far away from our human when computer things go wrong. Sometimes she throws things, not at us, but she says it makes her feel better and focus. We're not sure what purpose there is for all the caterwauling she does, but we sure are glad human curse words don't make any sense to us or all our ears would be eartipped from listening.

  16. I am glad your mom was able to retrieve everything from the Cloud. I think I have everything backed up there as well through my internet security. I also back everything up to my ext.HD and also to smaller USB flash drives. I am glad she was able to find some food for you. It is a ridiculous situation.

  17. I'm sorry to hear you had another frustrating day, but happy to know that it all turned out well. Yes, our pictures are our lifeline. It's good you had someone else to tap for these things.

Thank you, by the way, for all if the lovely comments. I was surprised to see them, but appreciate your efforts.

  18. We are so glad your Mom had friends who could help her get all her/your stuff back !
We try to stock up on at foods when they are available - not hogging it but buying two cases instead of only one (one lasts a bit over our week for our crew.) They don't need special food except some prefer gravy becuase of stomatitis. Purrs for all who are having these problems and need special foods.!

  22. June, Tell your Mom she’s the bestest. We wouldn’t have a blog if it weren’t for your Mom. But those clouds can be ominous although my brofur Angel Smokey8 has the latest cloud model and puts it in automatic and doesn’t have to do a thing. Just floats along having a grand time. 23. I know that sinking feeling of losing your computer data from last Spring, when my computer got hacked and ransomed. Thank goodness for my techno-kids, especially the one we paid tons of tuition for so he could attend RIT in computer engineering. I still can't find all my passwords to everything! Chester says he's glad June has lots of yum yum kitty dinner to keep her tummy full until the next shopping day, because that's the most important thing!

  24. Oh, my heart, how i hope this never happens again. Back up everything! That's my rule for me, and since i am not good at computers, i send everything to myself in an email so i can find it by signing in on any computer anywhere.

  25. Phew! We sure are glad the clouds hold so much stuff -- including your wonderful and valuable creations and photos. XO

  26. Ann! I feel your pain grrl! Been there (Monday) and I've done that (too many times to count). |The beauty of looking for all the old stuff...I found my Cat From Hell files on my backup hard drive that most often resides in a drawer in the back of a closet. I got lost going through files dating back to 2009 and all my frustration, anger and resentments melted away. Have most wonderful week my dear!

  27. Oh, the clouds are in great abundance here today...snowing and it is a deep blanket so that one can hardly drive through it...good thing I got provisions on Tuesday. The whole city was in shut down mode, even my beautician cancelled her appts, so now Petcretary has to go shaggy to her work tomorrow, At least she is glad she did not ave to work today as the roads were barely passable, and at the time of this comment still unplowed. We guess by the time she leaves tomorrow, the plow will have dumped down even more than the foot of snow that was there till it got shoveled out. The snow thrower will make quick work of that, though:)

We saw a wee bit of fancy feast (In cases of 24), yesterday at the store, and we almost bought it for giving to some hungry kitty...but we even see very little in the wet food for pups. For both kitties and pups, the kibble aisles are well stocked.

Glad you got your confuser issues solved, its a scary thing when we can't find our precious pics and the hard worked at art we send to others. Backups are very helpful...and that cloud, yes, II have that too,m but I have not ventured there...I Like to stay grounded, LOL!

  28. I hope your cloud has a lock so no one touches your stuff.

  29. Yikes!! That is way too much drama for you two!
Glad to hear the stuff has been retrieved...whew!!
This food shortage is concerning. So far it has not been as issue for us,
but we are monitoring the situation!
