For many years we have made Rainbow Bridge images for our pet friends who crossed their bridge. Often it is hard to do, especially when we have come to know ~ and deeply care for the cat or dog, and the family who loved them. This is not to dismiss any others, for I learn to know them as I search through their blogs, looking for that one photo that will best represent them, and read their stories. Each loss is one too many.
I do want to thank those who take the time to let me know of crossings, though I try to visit many blogs, many I do not see.
Over just the past few days, it has been very crowded at the bridge, almost like a "traffic jam at rush hour". We will never know or understand why. Nor will our hearts hurt any less.
In just two days I was told of seven ~ yes, seven ~ of our beautiful friends, who have made this journey.
Each one is being shown and shared, yesterday, today, tomorrow on both The Cat Blogosphere and on the Power of the Paw, where you will find their pictures and links to each blog. Please remember every one.
"a pet is never truly forgotten until it is no longer remembered"
There have been far too many lately. A beloved pet is never forgotten but forever remembered.
ReplyDeleteSo thankful for the remembrance pictures you do for us.
ReplyDeleteHow sad that 7 families are grieving.
One is too many. 7 is heartbreaking.
Purrs and hugs to all that have had to say goodbye to a beloved pet.
Purrs, Julie and "mmm" Nancy
We are so sad for all the families that have recently loss pets.
ReplyDeleteAnn you said it best...a traffic jam OTRB...in just one week.
ReplyDeleteRemembering them is the best way to honor them.
Hugs to you and June
This week has been horrible with losses. Thank you for what you do for the families suffering these losses.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed how it seems there are more and more going over that bridge. each of them touches me to the bottom of my heart and I appreciate all that you and others do to keep us aware of it when it happens.
ReplyDeleteThis sure has been a sad and busy week at the Rainbow Bridge crossing. Thank you for making the beautiful memorials you do for each of them.

ReplyDeleteToo many precious furkids have left their families and friends♥
ReplyDeleteSo many have gone to the Bridge as of late. It's been a sad, sad week. Thank you so much for your kindness in the midst of these beloved babies' passing, Ann. XO
ReplyDeleteI, too, am thankful for the remembrance images you make, though am saddened by how many you've made, especially this month. The world seems very off-kilter right now, in so many ways.
ReplyDeleteOh it is so sad when one of us loses a beloved pet, but so many at one time is so overwhelming. A traffic jam indeed. It seems since my Wolfie passed in December, so many other Blogville furpals have departed to join him. My thoughts and teary hugs to all.... and a huge heartfelt "thank you" to you, Ann, for always making a special tribute to our beloved furangels.
ReplyDeleteHeartbreakingly sad.
ReplyDeleteGrowing old is not for sissies.
ReplyDeleteIn my personal life, I have had a number of friends have to say goodbye to beloved family members. 2022 is not being kind. Thank you for helping us remember each life. Lee and Phod

So many just in this past week ! We are grateful for your posts because even though we didn't know all of them we know the pain of their loss and want to send words of sympathy.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about a traffic jam, it shook us all Ann and June. I know that when Dash was killed it was the genuine support of friends on Twitter that kept me from falling apart. Constantly checking on me, every day.

A season of loss and sadness, for these families and the world. My heart is very sore right now.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful tributes you create for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI am truly grateful for all your beautiful tributes that have provided me with comfort and lifted my heart. And, I know I'm not the only one that feels that way. The losses never for a moment get easier, and when there are so many, it's overwhelming. But being able to share these losses with the blogging community shows that it is truly a special place, and it's because of people like you. ❤❤
ReplyDeleteWe have lost four friends, one human, in the past week. It has been a sad tie.

ReplyDeleteOh, Ann, thank you so very much for all you do for all of us when our hearts are freshly broken. I don't think I could say it any better than Kim at Golden Pines did in her comment above. The images you create for us are beautiful, and to merely say "thank you" doesn't feel sufficient. The ones you've created of Bogie and Ducky recently have warmed my heart and made me smile through my floods of tears. I truly cannot find the words to express my deep gratitude.
ReplyDeleteSo many new angels in the heavenly realms, but then our hearts here upon the earth are sad and broken, full of emptiness.
ReplyDeleteMementos are a sweet way to bring comfort to their recipients.
Thank you Ann for all you do and have done.
