It is a beautiful poem. Until we live in a world that doesn't require soldiers, we give our heartfelt gratitude to all who have served or are serving. Happy Memorial Day. Lee and Phod
I had not heard of that poem till now. It is so very true. I work and have worked with so many veterans, they surely are special people who are all heroes in their own right. Where I work now, we have a 'hero wall' and there we hang portraits of the veterans we have cared for, past and present. Those no longer with us have red poppies attached to the frames.
What a beautiful post. Enjoy your Memorial Day, Ann and Juney!
