CATURDAY ART GALLERY

I liked this photo from the start.  The colors were subtle, and dramatic shapes, angles, curves and lighting were all through the image with June right in the center of it all. The top photo is the cropped original.  The middle photo is Adobe CC altered with an interior shadow, a satin shadow on the wall behind her, and the dodge tool to highlight June. The bottom photo, from the same series, is a shot from a slightly different angle, desaturated, slightly diffused, with a light percentage satin shadow and circle cropped. Adobe Creative Cloud is an amazing program, I probably use 5% or less of the tools available, it is a constant process of learning and experimenting (began using a very basic Adobe Photoshop in 2005), but for anyone who wants or likes to manipulate or play with photographs it is the ultimate and perfect choice.

  7. June is gorgeous and you take such good pictures. Oh I know they are processed. In my limited ability and app, I adjust all my pictures 90-100% definition and add lighting then decrease color to make pics more realistic. I have no talent for special effects though.

  10. This is the reason you are Queen of Photoshop! Even if you only know a small percentage of the app, you still produce amazing results. I tried it once and gave up. Trial and error is the key, but when you find the right mix, it's magic. I can appreciate the subtleties of each version. I think I like the last one the most cuz it's out if the box, literally.

  12. Wonderful pictures of June, deftly edited. I'm amazed at what can be done by those who know how to use the newest editing programs. I don't have access to my computer now, but I was trying to learn to photo edit in a 2007 program before. I think I'd be lost in a new program!

  17. So lovely!

I have not ever been able to figure out the dodge tool....go figure. I use Gimp, not sure if there even is a dodge tool there. I used to use PS Elements...but I find Gimp a bit easier. Gimp is a free program. Sometimes I think I should go back to Elements...but is so different that I would be back in the 'preschool' of photo editing, LOL!
