Most often when I sit here for window whiffies or birdie watching, the window is only open barely four-inches. But, oh, happy day. I got a big surprise. I didn't even know it could open a whole lot bigger and then I could actually "sit on the window!" Mine Mommy did this for me the other day and it was so good, all the fresh air, a cool breeze and we both loved it. I said "we" because the funny thing was she sat with me the whole time. You see, she's a "scaredy cat" and won't let me sit here by myself ~ ever, ever ~ cause if'n I got too excited she thinks I might push that screen out and then, bye-bye-june. Sixteen floors, a long way down. But it was a happy day while it lasted. I think this is something to add to my Christmas wish list ...
You sure do have a beautiful view from way up there, Juney!
ReplyDeleteOur Mom does the same thing with our screened windows and it's only a short hop to the ground. Your Mommy is keeping you safe!
ReplyDeleteJune you certainly had a beautiful blue sky that day. I bet it was lots of fun having the whole window sill to yourself. Our mommies can't be too careful about taking care of us you know.
ReplyDeleteooh we bet our mom would sit next to us too.... we have howlicopter moms ;O)
ReplyDeleteOur mom was scared for you because she didn't see the screen and thought, "WHAT?". You be careful there but do enjoy the beautiful view and the air.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is just being smart, June. It's been known to happen, that kitties fall out of high story windows, and we wouldn't ever want that to happen to you! We're glad you got to sit there, though, and watch all the birds!
ReplyDeleteJune be happy you have a brave mama, and not me, I would not let you sit there unless the window was down to a space you could not fall out of... it makes my legs hurt to see you sitting there, even when the window is closed. no heights for me. but I do love that window and would spend much time starting out of it.. our big window in the living room is where I spend most of my time
ReplyDeleteWindow wiffies are such fun! Mums worry as they want to keep us safe.
ReplyDeleteIt IS a long way down! Hey, I want you to be safe ;)
Purrs, Julie
June, how delightful that you were able to get BIG window whiffies!
ReplyDeleteFresh air is wonderful indeed. I would be cautious too. That's a long way down indeed. Better to have June safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
What a great view you have, June. Your mom is being careful because she loves you so much. We hope you get to sit on the window and enjoy the smells more often.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mommy I'd sit with you too!

What a refreshing experience for the two of you! Good thing Mommy keeps an eye on you, too, June. You are very precious.
ReplyDeleteI am such a worrier that I would not have even let you sit there. XO
ReplyDeleteOohhhhh, I bet there were lots of wonderful smells that high up!! Our Mama agrees with yours, it's always better to be cautious!

That's a great view! But I think your Mom is right to be cautious and stay with you whenever you sit near the window.

ReplyDeleteWhoa...that's quite the view. I'm with your Mum-I'd watch you like a hawk 16 flights up. Stay safe.
