Once upon a time in Florida, summer 2013 ~ my home had been sold, plans made to move North. Sadly, Maggy and Zoey would not make the move with me. Each would be going to new ~ but wonderful and loving homes.
So many stories could be told about the years that followed ~ Zoey's amazing times until she crossed her Rainbow Bridge in April of 2020, but here we'll just share a little about Zo and her "best brother, Pip".
And though Zoey now lives in our hearts and memories, it is with smiles and love that we can say that handsome Pip is still with us, living the good life ... a "snow-cat", wintering in Florida and spending his summers here in Maryland. Below, Pip and Zoey, and just a few of their times together.
Down Florida way, watching geckoes.
Bum to bum, in snoozeland.
ReplyDeletePrecious memories, how they linger, how they linger, from my grand mothers favortie hymn. these post fit the song perfectly. she wanted it sung at her funeral.
ReplyDeletePrecious memories, unseen angels
Sent from somewhere to my soul
How they linger, ever near me
And the sacred past unfolds
Precious memories, how they linger
How they ever flood my soul
In the stillness, of the midnight
Precious sacred scenes unfold
Precious memories indeed. I love the photo of Zoey and Pip together on the couch. :-)
ReplyDeleteI remember those trips to FL. with Pip and his sisfur. And dearest Zoe as well.
ReplyDeleteLove the kitties standing on their hind legs!
ReplyDeleteMe too Molly
DeleteSuch sweet memories of Zoey and Pip.
ReplyDeleteZoey and Pip were very good traveling companions and I love how they loved each other
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
Those two got along better than any 2 cats I've ever called mine. Sometimes it seems like Pip still calls for her in his sleep. I think he misses his buddy.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my formerly feral boy got to have her in his life.
Such sweet kitties! I have a friend who has a Maine coon cat who likes nothing more than to travel in the car when they drive from Chicago area to Chincoteague every summer.
ReplyDeleteSweet Zoey. Looks like she settled right in and accepted the move.
ReplyDeleteAwww! These are precious memories, i'm glad they got along so well they'd nap together.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of precious memories!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos. XO
ReplyDeleteWe remember when you moved, Ann. We are glad Zoey was loved with you, and with Pip and Miss Dee.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to see, especially the geko watch!
ReplyDeletePrecious babies.
ReplyDeleteZoey is a beautiful cat
ReplyDeleteSome cats adapt to new homes better than others. I am glad Maggy and Zoey did. I know it was hard to leave them behind. Sometimes life demands sad choices.
ReplyDeleteOh, what sweet memories!! Such pretty cats, and we love how they were trying to get the best views of the geckos, LOL!
