The image above is from A Child's Book of Prayers, copyright 1941,
Artists and Writers Guild, illustrations by Masha.
I have altered and repainted this art for use today as our Thanksgiving post,
adding June and other animals, as I've done in previous years with our other pets.
This book had always been special to me, as my Mother read to me from its
poems and prayers each night before bedtime.
Today we give thanks ~ thanks for all that holds meaning in our lives ~ past and present.
happy thanksgiving to you all
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and June. We wish you both a wonderful day. That story and photo is a wonderful memory that you have and will always cherish. Parents don't always know how something they do with their small children will impact their child's life forever, in a good way if they are lucky.
