June, tell your mama that I got a spanking on the steps right in front of this Abe Lincoln statue. I was 8 years old. I have forgotten why though.. I mean who would take an 8 and 4 year old on a 2 week trip with grandparents and Mama.
I visited DC for the first time a few years ago. I was alone, and without a car, so I only got to visit a few places, and unfortunately didn’t get to visit this one.
When I was about 10 we visited my older cousin (by 15 years). They lived in Rockville, MD. Her husband was a tour guide. He took us to every wonderful sight in DC Hugs Cecilia
