AWWW ~ The Working Girl

I admit, I've never been much on play, not even as a kitten.  Wand toys are not my thing.  If'n mine Mommy tosses a little ball, I'll chase it once and that's the end of that. I take my mousies to bed with me at times, and I knock my spring toys off the window ledge ~ she's often bought interactive toys, only to give them away to other kitties.  I do like my paper tents, totally awesome.  And a wayward pencil that falls to the floor, or a cap off her Coke bottle ~ wow, those are real prizes, though not long lasting!  Seems I'm a simple girl to please.

What we do a lot around here though are our "challenges".  Sometimes I win them, sometimes not.  Mostly the former.  I work hard at that. No way is she getting the better of me.  It seems she was overwhelmed with guilt (as she should have been) for leaving me alone most of yesterday, so she set up a "challenge" in the afternoon.  Knowing I can't resist my spring toys, they were trapped inside something or other (I know not what) and as you can see, I worked it hard.  Worked it hard and long.

OK, so I didn't win this one.
But I should get an A for effort, even though effort begins with an E.
It was an AWWWsome challenge.
Like that old horse cliche, try again: another day, eh?

  2. Oh, Miss June, you and I are so alike in this aspect. Mom and dad try, the really try, but sometimes all I can do is laugh at them and turn away. Okay, maybe I'll take a swat or two at a toy/ball/fake mouse, and I'll even still bat Miss Ellen's egg around some, but for the most part I can't give toys the time of day these days. String's my thing, I guess, but even that leads to bathing and boredom.

  3. Definitely an awwwwwwww moment. you look so sweet fighting those springs. Beau can't have toys because he eats them.. rips and swallows. he can have the hard things to chew on...

  4. Mental stimulation is important as is physical exercise. The challenge whether you solve it or not is good for your mental health.
