SPRING SPRING CLEANING

"birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it ..."
WHAT?  Oh, that's about falling in love.  Yeah, I knew that.

I just kinda sorta liked the words, 'cept for those educated fleas ...
those words kinda sorta
worked for my "spring cleaning" picture dontcha think?
Doesn't everybody do it?

Mine Mommy took four big bags of stuff to the give-away-store last week
and she said it was time for me to do my toy box ...
I said, OK, but don't think
spring cleaning means I'll give away even one of my springs!
Never. Not. No.

On another note (pawlitically, of course) ... the amazing opinion writer for the Washington Post, Dana Milbank, has a piece today, 3/31/2025 ... and if you can read it (LINK below) I assure you it will be enjoyed.  Though often these stories are available only to subscribers unfortunately.  Who could have known there were so many critters over there at our Zoo we needed to dispose of under those rules of "DEI" ... ohmycat ... they simply do not belong here!

How Trump can deport all those migrant predators at the National Zoo

The National Zoo can easily be converted into a symbol of American Greatness.

  2. June, am wondering why no one yet has invented an easy-to-use barrier to put under furniture, to prevent spring toys from running underneath?

  3. I couldn't read the link without signing in or paying.
You do have a lot of springs, June. It is a very good idea to Spring clean them without giving any away.

    1. When I first posted, there was a LINK to read ONE ARTICLE FOR FREE. Am afraid it no longer seems to be there, at least I couldn't find it even though I did a deep search ... sorry, it's a really amazing and funny read!

  6. I got a start on cleaning by doing my bathroom only 3 days ago, not because it is spring but because I had something to sit in there and no room to sit it, I touched every item in the bathroom and about a third of it is gone...

  11. June, pretty soon, you might be able to frame the entire room with those colorful springs:)

Our Dad subscribes to the WSJ, gets a paper delivery of it. Mom is going to have to see if she can login online to read the story.

  13. Protect your springs! We know kitties at the shelter would enjoy some of Mudpie's lesser loved toys, but it's hard to part with them.

  14. We like that the picture with the WaPo article is a Komodo Dragon. They are capable of feeding on humans. We are more worried about the two-legged migrant predator in DC.

  16. Oona: "You cannot get rid of your springs. They spark joy."
    Lulu: "What, all of them?"
    Oona: "EVERY SINGLE ONE."

  17. We can't read that article either...
But wow, June, you sure do have a long line of springs. Maybe you could string the springs and hang it somewhere to make it swing and sway!!

  18. You remind me I need to get going with the spring cleaning myself. Just don't seem to have the get up and do it enthusiasm still. maybe once I pick up some paint, it'll begin to register, though I have been doing bits here and there. Keep thinking of my precious Elsa which gives me the sads.
