I am sitting under a chair.
Mine Mommy is sitting in the chair that I am sitting under.
It is still very early in the morning. It is dark outside.
Like 4:30 a.m. dark with the street lamps still on.
Mine Mommy is still sipping on her coffee.
She is also reading some news on her cell phone.
I've already had my breakfast.
And she already put fresh water in my bowl.
I always sit by my bowl after my breakfast.
It reminds her (she's forgetful, you know) to put fresh, cold water
from the refrigerator in it because that's what I like the best.
I will stay sitting under the chair for awhile longer.
Maybe until the sun starts to rise.
Then I'll sit in my rounder by the window and watch the city wake-up.
Mine Mommy will have finished her second cup of coffee by then
and she will probably turn her computer on and start the day.
This is our morning routine.
Oh, I almost forgot.
When I am sitting under the chair,
like this,
and meow and look up at her,
like this,
she pats me on the head and says,
"Good Morning, sweet June, lets have a happy day!"
What a wonderful start to your day and you have the most beautiful eyes, Juney.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good way to start the day, but far too early for me! Yayy for Canada! Something good happening for a change.
ReplyDeleteA happy day is a good day, right? Our Mom gets us up before sunrise too but we usually go back to napping while she does her morning computer routine. Happy Tuesday to you and your mom.
ReplyDeleteJune your mommy gets earlier start than my mommy. Lynn doesn't get up till 5:00 and this morning when I went outside at 5:30 it was still a little bit dark and so much warmer. Precious
ReplyDeletewe wish you a super happy day!!

ReplyDeleteYou are such a cutie, June. We're happy for Canada too.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful routine.
ReplyDeleteJune, I was happy to be far away from someone who visited my area yesterday; I drove to the next county to not be in the same airspace.
ReplyDelete~ and three guesses as to who that might have been ... oh what the H: I only need one!
DeleteAnd they flew in at the ANG base that I could hit with a rock if I threw it hard enough...yeah, I didn't want to be here AT ALL.
DeleteShe sounds so contented!
ReplyDeleteThat's one pawsome routine!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Yes...we were thrilled with Canada's election too. Keep them elbows up!
Charlee: "O Canada!!!"
ReplyDeleteI love this whole post but the last paragraph the most. I am a peep and I think I need a pat on my head :) Canada's election was as good as a sweet pat on my head and your sweet face too, June. Your Mommy has some good words of encouragement. Happy Day wishes for today.
