One day last week was really awww-some for mine Mommy.
And me too, kinda sorta.
She took a tour of the M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore RAVENS.
And me too, kinda sorta.
She took a tour of the M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore RAVENS.
Now "pets" weren't allowed, but I snuck
into her backpack and made no meows, so no one knew I was there!
We gots to see lots 'n' lots of things, and there weren't too many peeples
in the group, so it felt very purrsonal.
She said it was great, cause with ticket prices the way they are today,
she'll likely never go to a real game ... so this was the next best thing.
We won't bore you with all the details, or too many pik-shurs,
as most of you have your own fave home town teams,
but here are just a few ...
Famous images of famous players, legends on the walls inside.
The sauna, the exercise and weight room, a family area, even a child care center.
This is one of the largest (most expen$ive, at $300,000. per season
with a 5-year contract and no extras, all extras cost extra!!!). Luxury appointments of
course, currently under contract to Under Armour.
A side note: RAVENS uniforms are by NIKE. When Under Armour contracted for this box some years ago,
the CEO hired an artist to carefully "retouch" the many
classic team paintings throughout the room. These team paintings showed
the NIKE logo on uniforms which was "offensive" to Under Armour and it
needed to be whited-out. Oh my.
As we exited from the locker room, as the players do when charging out onto the
field at the start of the game,
one sees this small sign: a dedication to those who play on the field by those
who built it many years before. And over these years, this field has seen many
great players come and go. It has seen far more wins than losses.
It has brought pride and joy to Baltimore.
Monday Night Football
Ravens vs Detroit Lions
Now, here's the thing:
we adore little Roary and Levi over at
All last season we shared a friendly rivalry,
both our teams did well,
and surely we'll carry that forward this season
right, Caren?
As we meet tonight, can only say,
"may the best team win".
GO RAVENS!
Hey friends ~ be sure to click the LINK and go wish ROARY a very happy 5th Gotcha Day, whether they win the game or not .... meow!
ReplyDeleteawwwww... tonight da ravens vs. da lions... we hope both will win... wait... that is not possible right?
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to get a VIP tour of the stadium and we hope your Ravens win tonight's game!
ReplyDeleteThat was a very interesting visit to the stadium. Wow, the price of the largest Sky box!! I have wished Roary happy Gotcha Day.
ReplyDeleteWe will root for them today as we don't want Detroit to win :) How nice your Mom got to tour the stadium.
ReplyDeleteGreat tour of the stadium. Go Ravens! Love the kitty photo. Take care, have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very grand stadium! Ticket prices for everything is so expensive over here too. Cinema, concerts, sports and family events! My daughter always wants to sneak one of the cats out in her backpack haha! :-D
ReplyDeleteI like your photos - it's neat that you got to go. Those suite prices sure are crazy!
ReplyDeleteMom doesn't follow much football but we hope your team wins!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely stadium! We'll be rooting for your purple guys tonight for sure!
ReplyDeleteGo Ravens!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
How fun that your mom got to explore the Raven's stadium. They're building a new one for the Bills that will be open next year. My mom, too, will never see it in person, but she was at the current stadium many moons ago.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to June. ♥

Excellent job of sneaking in, June!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping it a good game on Monday night.
I think you should be the team mascort
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lot of fun. XO
ReplyDeleteBet that was a fun tour, it sure looks like a nice place!
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how much money is spent on sports. I wish your Ravens great good luck on the field tonight.
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Those raven reliefs are rather formidable!"
ReplyDeleteWow, what a 😎 cool Ravens tour, June! So glad you could be present for it! I've always been partial to that team name; in fact our first cat, Ligeia, was also named for a character in a work by Edgar Allan Poe! We did wish Roary
ReplyDeletea Happy Gotcha Day!
I guess the "BEST" team DID win!! Hehehe!!! Of course we will ALWAYS be friends no matter what! To be honest, I NEVER thought the Lions would beat the Ravens but that was sure one hell of a game!!!!!! The Ravens never sat well for me because if you remember, Art Modell took the Cleveland Browns late at night and moved them to Baltimore where they became the Ravens......as a result, Cleveland was without a football team for FOUR (count 'em!) years.........NO ONE from Cleveland will EVER like the Ravens......but I do respect them!! Thanks for linking to us but the blog is really Cat and Dog Chat with Caren (but the link is the same as it was when it was Cat Chat With Caren and Cody). Love you no matter what! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome! What a great tour Mom (and you) got to go on at the stadium, Juney!
ReplyDeleteNice tour. I really like the indigo coloring that permeates the building and its decor.
ReplyDelete300K for a luxury box?! I suppose it's really not for folks like us...
What a fun adventure for Mom....you know happy mom, happy June
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
What an impressive state of the art stadium. I had to frown when the league commish said the league needs to renegotiate their media deal. The league already makes more money than any sport and now they think they need more. Sadly, I think higher ticket prices will be in the future (as will higher subscription rates for streaming). And before you know it, there'll only be the likes of Under Armour in attendance. Sigh.
