THANKFUL FOR ~

Thankful for our little tree.  Up there on our banner ~ photographed in early morning light,
with the sun streaming in through the window blinds, it sparkles.  And no, I am not
really sitting beside the tree, mine Mommy "put me there", I'm not allowed near.

Then we realized that just like it wasn't a good idea for me to be near our tree,
maybe it wasn't a good idea to have a candle by the tree either.
So in this picture (and yes, she "put me" in this one too) the candle made
way for a little lamp, and colors changed as she photographed in warm evening light.

Purr-haps you notice one other thing in this picture, the little monkey.
Little Monkey has his own story, a tradition if you will.  He is very old,
like maybe 75-years old or thereabouts and he is from Germany.
When mine Mommy's Poppy Vic (across his bridge now) was a little boy, he lived there
and his German nanny gave this Little Monkey to him one Christmas.
Poppy Vic always had kitty cats and a kitty cat bit Little Monkey's toe one
morning ~ see his bandaged toe!  Oh dear, meowz.  That's still the same
old bandage, too, but that is what tradition is.
And mine Mommy told me that she and Poppy always had Little Monkey
on their Christmas tree for years and years.

I've promised not to put a bitey on his other toe.
Meowz.

  2. Your tree is so sparkly and beautiful and we love your monkey and mom has a similar one. Hers is a Steiff named Jocko and he's around 70 years old. Your monkey and mom's monkey look to be about the same size☺
