MEOWZ, on Sunday, July 5
The super hots are on their way out!
The big boomers are over, done, gone!
Even the thunder-dunder ones that delayed our Inner Harbor
fireworks, and then lefty-over mist dulled the sounds.
Pawsibly I can spend less time in the closet?**
Maybe [well, purrably not] we can make similar
big changes next door in DC? ...
like: out/over/done/gone!
Sorry, that's a bit too much to hope for, meowz.
Maybe I'll just purrtend to start
July all over again!
Now, we start our 251st year ... is that right?
Let's raise lots of paws for good days to come, meowz.
** btw, if'n you didn't see OONA in
her closet, OMC, go watch!

Both my paws are raised for good days to come, June. Yes, last night's cooler temps were a good sign here.
ReplyDeleteThe nasty hot weather is heading in the down direction for us too and we like your out/over/done/gone a lot, Juney, and we do hope for good days to come.
ReplyDeleteWe too are so glad to have the fireworks gone, yikes! A little heat relief would be welcome, too! Haven't seen Oona yet, but we're on our way!
ReplyDeleteMy hand is raised "for good days to come"... hanging on to hope. I'd like your out/over/done/gone, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy your super hots are on the way out, June. We are still hot here but this morning we have glorious rain and Mother Nature's fireworks... so thankful. No fireworks last night. Sarasota County banned them because it's crispy here. And magically people listened with the support from County law enforcement and fire departments.
I would like to think this morning is a fresh start๐
Oh June yesterday was the hottest July 4 on record in Raleigh 103 (real temp) I am beyond thrilled this is the last hot as he double hockey sticks is on the way out and possible rain on the way in

ReplyDeleteWe had those super hot temps here too, June. I'm glad they are gone, but we still have a lot of humidity.
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice and cool here last night I opened everything in the house and was hoping to be freezing cold by morning!
ReplyDeleteOh June, it's almost over!
ReplyDeleteAround here, there will probably be more fireworks tonight, then it'll be quiet.
Wondereful thankfuls June. XO
ReplyDeleteAfter some big old storms, it was a lot cooler today here, too, Juney. LIke you and Mom said, here;s to more good days ahead.
ReplyDeleteI pray for all our officials, work to elect good ones, and hope for the best, it's all any of us can do, I think.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you can spend more time out of the closet again.
That would be a welcome, blessing
ReplyDeleteCute photo June! I have hope and I am raising my hands for those good days to come.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day and have a great week ahead.
What a great photo of you, June! That nasty heat is heading our way now...
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
We continue to be hopeful that big changes are a-coming. Enough of the nonsense that continues to embarrass and demean our nation on the world stage.
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Sing the song of our people, June!"
ReplyDeleteOona: "Oona appreciates the shout-out! Dada's closet is one of her favorite places to hide in between conducting ninja raids!"
