Delta Dawn was Delta Don... and sadly has gone to the Rainbow Bridge at just two months of age. His little heart... we know it was a good one, gave out during surgery.
Dr Sarah tried hard to revive him, but it was not to be.
Goodbye little one.
Annie is resting comfortably on our back porch. She did well with surgery and is slowly waking, though listless. Her favorite food and cold water are in the cage with her.
Charlie and Bravo have yet to appear.

  1. That's so sad. You did all you could and so did the v-e-t. Keeping paws crossed that Charlie and Bravo reappear and can be reunited with their mum.

  4. aw, we are sorry to hear about Delta Don. we know you feel bad, but you must remember, and hopefully take comfort in, the fact you did the absolute best for him. He is over the Bridge where he will never be hungry, or lonely or scared again, and I'm sure when you go to meet those who went before, Delta Don will be there waiting for you too.

  8. Oh, no! We just read your message on CB. It's just unbelievable that one so young could be gone like that.

Please don't beat yourself up. You did the right thing. You are trying to give those kitties a chance at life. You did what needed to be done. But sometimes the unexpected happens and we take a painful blow.

Thank you for caring so much for this kitty family.

  10. Oh, we are so sorry. We just read on the CB about Delta Don. Please believe that you have done your very best for this little family. Chances are that the poor little guy's heart was just not developed enough. When Summer had her kittens, we lost one for the same reasons. So very hard to understand.

    Love....

  12. Sometimes things just don't work out. At least Annie won't spend the rest of her life spitting out kittens while barely surviving herself.

Purrraying that Charlie & Bravo come by shortly to check on their mom, if nothing else.
