PHOTO HUNT: WORDS

The ZH has been very excited lately, and doing odd things around the house. She says a new kitteh is coming soon. Well, maybe not meowing kitteh, but rather one of those human "bachcha's". It will be the third grandbean for the ZH, a "chhele" grandbean. The "mata" is her daughter and the "baba" is her son-in-law. "Baba" is from Calcutta, (Kolkata) India. So I thought I should learn some Bengali words, the language spoken in that region. Above are some of the words I am studying. I am a bit worried though, because I have not yet found the word for "cat" or the word for "meow" or the word for "Zoey". Oh, and I guess it's almost time I should start calling the ZH "nani" and I should go tell the Zoolatry Dad he is "dadu".

  1. Hoorah for ZooLatry! I see that you are also a cat that likes to learn new words!
Just for your information "meow" is "miau" in Swedish. The verb "to meow" is "att jama".
    Happy Weekend!

  9. Great take on the theme! Good to learn new words in any language and as I see that you have got some Swedish words so in Finnish "meow" is almost like in Swedish, which is "mijau" and "to meow" is "naukua"
    =) Happy weekend
