THE LAST LAUNCH

_________________________________________________________
The last shuttle launch is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, July 8 at 11:26 a.m.
Weather permitting.
As I write our weather is terrible, with worse expected tomorrow.
Very hot. Very humid.
Thunderstorms with our usual lightning explosion rolling in right now.

We have a special post planned for tomorrow, and will post
if even the launch is scrubbed.
It is the end of an era.
Stop by tomorrow if you have time, scroll down for our
regular Thursday posting.

  1. The end of an era. So true. So sad. What will we do now? Hitch a ride with the cosmonauts? Sheesh......

  3. Hi girls.... I have my space suit on also and have a short Launch post written for tomorrow. I'll be by to see your special post. It's very sad to see the end of the program. I have leaky eyes for sure.

Zoey and Maggy look great in their space suits.

  4. We are sad that there aren't going to be any more shuttle launches. Mom remembers seeing one come in to Edwards AFB in CA. She says it was amazing how fast it came in and landed. It seemed like one second it was a small speck in the sky and the next it was huge and landing.

  5. We absolutely love your header!!! We have friends over to watch the launch but there is only a 30% chance of a go. We're going to be so sad to see the shuttle program end.

  7. Can't wait to see your post. M used to live in Melbourne a 100 years ago, but used to watch the early missiles launch now and then. Now it's much bigger space shuttles. She'd dearly love to see one of those go up in person. So exciting.
