ABOUT LOVING and LEAVING

Zoolatry will not be posting for awhile.  Oh, Maggy and Zoey will still be around, of course.  But the Zoolatry Human leaves in a day or two to travel north with her beautiful daughter (also her best friend).
And with my wonderful and charming son-in-law and
my very much loved 21-month old grandson, JuneyBug.
After so many wonderful years of being blessed to have them
"just down the street" from us,
the time has come that they are moving on.
New jobs, new home, new city, new life.
It is as it should be.  Though we are filled with happiness and hope for them,
my tears flow heavy and strong.
And this precious little guy ~ whom I've cared for since he was 10 weeks old, this
little guy who has been my light and my joy during some very difficult times,
my little one ~ I will miss you so.

  5. Ann you are bound to be sad and we have no doubt that your daughter and family will miss you so much. The good news is that these days travel is so much easier unlike when the settlers to America set off from England and other countries when there were no phones, video links and visits to look forward to.
We wish your daughter, son in law and handsome grandson good luck in their new venture.

  8. Ann, I know you are very sad that they are moving so far away and words cannot take away that sadness right now. Just remember, you've been so luck to be there from the beginning for Juney Bug and he will remember all of that special time. Sending purrs and headbutts to you and the family goes through this transition.

I'm sure Auntie Deb will let you know how things are going.

  17. It's so hard letting go to family when they have to leave, especially when they were always nearby. We went through the same thing when we moved to Florida and left our son and his family in Michigan. Phone calls just aren't the same.

  19. Ann, I share your tears. I remember having to send my son and his family, two little boys at the time, from Texas to Washington state! I cried many tears those first months. It is so nice that they are only three house away after 18 years of being across the country. I am here to cry with you!

So she is shedding tears for you & we are sending purrs & all our love.

  28. Oh, dear! My heart breaks for you all. In 1996, my daughter, her husband, and their two boys (then ages 6 mos and 3.5 years), moved from the SoCal desert to Indianapolis, because of a terrific new job! But I was heart-broken, and the airlines started getting LOTS more of my money! Thankfully, when you get back home, Maggie and Zoey will be there to help you adjust to your "new normal." It's really not much fun, though.

Prayers for all of you ...

    Marilynn

  31. Don't let the tears in your eyes keep you from seeing whatever is next for you, Ann. They aren't so far away, you will see them, and hear all about the little guy's exploits. I wish them a very successful move, and you a very successful transition. Having been on both sides, leaving my parents, and my son leaving me, I know it is very hard but very overcome-able!

    Cheers and hugs,

    Jo, Stella and Zkhat

  33. My ♥ breaks for you. As I told you in a personal note, I went through the same thing a few years back - I felt as though my ♥ was ripped from my chest. Time will help to heal your sorrow and to dry your tears but there will always be that little empty place in your ♥.
