BACKYARD WILDLIFE

Photos taken after Tuesdays snowfall.
It's not unusual to see deer, sometimes a group of them, in our backyard.
However, this was the first time I spotted a buck ~
a big boy with 6-points on his antlers!

  1. We have lots and lots of those in our back fields too!! They are really struggling with finding food right now because there is so much snow!! We counted almost thirty of them out there last night!! We aren't going to chase them though...we kind of feel sorry for them because they have to eat too! xo Chloe and LadyBug

  5. Mom had one BIG buck and a couple of does cross right in front of her one day while she was out walking Thunder and Phantom a few years ago - less than 15 feet from them - scared the daylights out of her. And the dogs just stood there in awe or confusion of what they had just seen.

Nice catch with the flashy beast.

  9. So beautiful! I have had many window-sill encounters with deer and they always fill me with excitement about life. I do not trust people who think they are a nuisance.
