FIGHTING CANCER ~ and ~ LIVING STRONG

Our month long retrospective in celebration of our eight years of blogging would not be complete without mention of a very special and personal event held in both 2010 and 2011.  So many bloggers came together during that time, under the guidance of Milo and Alfie, The Cat's Meow and their amazing and wonderful Mom, Jan ~ along with some help from the Zoolatry girls to create the special blog, We LiveStrong Today.  Bloggers posted their own thoughts, feelings and memories of loved ones, family, friends and beloved pets ~ some who had fought battles against cancer and won, others whose battles sadly had not been won.
For those of you who were not bloggers at the time, this blog is still active, and you are more than welcome to add your own personal posting anytime you would like to do so.  Simply email me for information on how to do so.  If you would just like to take the time to view this blog, and visit friends there, click here.
During those years, my own husband battled cancer.  His family fought alongside him.  In 2012 his fight came to an end.  Here, a few of our postings from We LiveStrong Today as published during those years.
Also the two badges shared at the time, which you are welcome to copy and post.

  2. Cancer is one horrible disease. That is a great site for memories of ones that have survived and those that haven't. We sure do wish that cancer would some how just go away. Great post.

  5. Cancer is cruel and doesn't care how it affects you and all we can do is hope a cure will be found for it soon.

  6. I want to comment, but I'm having a hard time. I know it's been a long while, but the loss of my dad to cancer still feels fresh and painful. I do thank you for the Livestrong badges and website. Bless you

  7. Cancer is terrible. We keep purring that researchers will find a cure so that we can look back and say "remember when people got cancer?"

  8. We remember the Live Strong posts and Poppy Vic's fight. We were going through almost the same thing with Auntie El. We hate cancer.
