HARPER'S FERRY
Where the Patowmac [Potomac] and the Shenandoah meet. Where three states ~ Maryland, Virginia
and West Virginia meet. Where American history and the beauty of nature meet.
A place we never tire of visiting [even on one of the hottest days of the year!]
Even Grandma managed rocky steps and cobblestone streets, up-down hillsides.
An ice cream cone often helps!

ReplyDeleteOh, I love Harper's Ferry. When we lived in Maryland, we used to go there often. We'd take the dogs and treat them to ice cream.
ReplyDeleteVirginia is just so rich with history - beautiful spot you found.

Wonderful pictures of your trip!
ReplyDeleteTBT here: LOL, the pictures remind me of the time around 1959 that we visited a national park with great grampa and he got tired and wanted to go sit in the car. Dad gave him a spare key. Later we couldn't find him in the car. We finally found him in an identical grey Studebaker, where his spare key had worked just fine. That was a more innocent time when keys didnt have to be unique...
ReplyDeleteWow - that's one cool place!! We love it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! And it does look like a great place to be on a hot day, what with all the water.
