SUNDAY SELFIES ~ HARPER'S FERRY

HARPER'S FERRY

Where the Patowmac [Potomac] and the Shenandoah meet.  Where three states ~ Maryland, Virginia
and West Virginia meet.  Where American history and the beauty of nature meet.
A place we never tire of visiting [even on one of the hottest days of the year!]

Even Grandma managed rocky steps and cobblestone streets, up-down hillsides.
An ice cream cone often helps!

Check out our friends for more Sunday Selfies over at

  3. How beautiful! I can see how you would want to go even on a hot day, and that water must be so tempting. Now what flavour ice cream did they have? purrs ERin

  4. Oh, I love Harper's Ferry. When we lived in Maryland, we used to go there often. We'd take the dogs and treat them to ice cream.

  16. TBT here: LOL, the pictures remind me of the time around 1959 that we visited a national park with great grampa and he got tired and wanted to go sit in the car. Dad gave him a spare key. Later we couldn't find him in the car. We finally found him in an identical grey Studebaker, where his spare key had worked just fine. That was a more innocent time when keys didnt have to be unique...
