MUDDY PAWS

You know how I love to run and play in my new backyard.  Not a problem when it's dry.  But when it has rained ... well ... I get muddy paws!  And sometimes, when I first go out to run-and-check the perimeter, I'll find a bunny or two in the back brush and wow, let the chase begin!  No way can I catch two of those critters.  The first usually escapes under one of the gates if he's not too chubby.  The other then hides under the shed.  So I'll round-a-bout the shed for awhile, doing my best digging work with nose-and-paws to scare him out of there.  Do I succeed?  Well, no.  Never.  Not yet.  But I do succeed in getting "muddy paws" and often even a "muddy nose".  So, out comes the Paw Plunger!

The humans here LOVE the Paw Plunger.  Me?  Well, it's OK.  I don't really mind it much.  I'm a pretty good dog when it comes to stuff like this.  Here ... I'll show you how it works.  Cause the other day I came up to the deck after a good runabout and I had really muddy paws full of twigs and grass clippings and yuk ... and even my nose was all brown!

All done!  See the wet paw prints.  Soon as I dry off in a bit of sunshine I get to go inside for a treat and some nap time.  I haven't yet figured out what's so awful about muddy paws.  They don't bother me at all so I don't know why they bother my humans do much.  Do they bother your humans?

  1. That is a great way to wash your feet. Lady says sometimes we need one of those.

  2. Oh, what a perfect idea the Paw Plunger is. And what a perfect model you are for it, Dougie! Astrid sure gets her fair share of muddy paws, but we're old school and just do our best getting her clean with a towel. This Paw Plunger looks far more efficient, though, that's for sure.

  3. What a great idea to wash those paws. Don't think the kitty kats would go for a paw plunger. You all have a good day.

  9. That is a cool paw plunger! We don't have dogies, but Mom and Dad take their muddy shoes off before coming in! So, I guess that means they do not like muddy floors!

  11. You are such a good boy to cooperate with that paw plunger thingie. Misty is the muddy paws dog around here and no way would she be so cooperative. Let us know if you need help with those pesky bunnies. Between the three of us we should be successful:)

  12. Since I tend to get whole body muddy, it probably wouldn't work for me.

  15. Mumsy said she sure could use one of those for Chancy. You are such a good dog waiting for your paws to dry so you can go in for a treat and nap. Hugs and nose kisses
