WORDY WEDNESDAY

4:50 a.m.
You may think that is a bit early.  My Mom thinks it is early, too early.
However, I prefer my breakfast at 4:30 a.m., so I start pestering her soon before that.
And now, at 4:50 a.m., my tum tum is full and I am happy.
But she is not happy about this, not happy with me for sure,
though so far, I am the winner of this daily battle.
She does seem intent on winning the war as they say.
Yet she has no strategy for that.
She says she's working on it, planning.
Well, you all know how those best laid plans often work out.

  2. well tell your mom if she finds the right strategy because while you are pestering her, Beau is doing the same thing here. when we brought him home, he was a night owl and when we got up early he did not. now 5 months later he starts at 4:30 begging ro 5 am breakfast. we have our first cup of coffee in bed, have for 37 years, he has a different plan and so far he is winning.

  3. June, you have your mom trained pretty well. :-)

This biped can understand why Ann might not be so thrilled, though. I go to bed very early and tend to sleep poorly, am usually awake between 3 - 4 AM. I've taken to getting up and giving Derry some kibble, then heading right back to bed. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to doze off for an hour or so before I do have to get up; other times I just listen to the radio. I used to BE up at 3 - 4 AM, but since I've been working from home for over a year now and don't have to leave to catch the 6:30 AM bus, I have more snuggle-under-the-covers time. Good luck finding a solution that will work for you both. ♥

  4. That is the time that I drag my sleeping mom out of bed, Juney, but she won't feed me until 6. I need to move in with you!

  5. Oh sweet June, you should at least wait until 5:00!

  6. If you lived here it would be 7am for breakfast. Just saying.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  7. Don't be so sure June, we've managed to slowly move our 4am feeding to 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekends. I'm betting on your Mom.

  8. Oh me June...I'm wondering if Angel Madi has been reincarnated into you. She had a very very similar pattern when she was your age. The first 9 months of her life she was just a dear sleepy kitty did not bother us the bam about 9 months she turned around like you. She finally out grew it but it took some time and was quite an adjustment for us because Milky-Way our first cat never ever EVER bother us when we slept even as a kitten. Her favorite thing in the wee hours was to jump up a tall chest in the bedroom. It has 5 drawers with 2 handles on each drawer. They rattled on the way up and as she jumped down. I did also start giving her a wee bit of Fancy Feast Pate before bedtime to and she had kibble in her bowl. That helped get the magical feeding hour til a wee bit after 5:30 am

  9. If your Mom figures that out, please tell us. Kozmo tries to get us up early! I am so grateful and happy that you guys are part of my life! Thank you for being at my birthday party today. Celebrating with you and other friends was the best part of the day. - Slobbery Kisses Cinnamon

  10. Oh, you've won alright, Junie!
Which is why I don't give food to 4am meowing cats...they've got to wait until the alarm goes off at 7am.

  11. Walter lets our pawrents sleep until 8-8:30am. After that he becomes a bit pesty about having breakfast. Millie doesn't really care when you feed her.

  15. I think you need an automatic feeder so your mom can sleep in. :) XO

  16. Hopefully your Mom was able to get back to sleep for a couple more hours! I get up late (usually 8 or 9am) because I work late (usually until 11:30pm, and sometimes until 3am!) Chester is almost always very good about not waking me up too early. In fact, sometimes he sleeps later than I do! What a good doggie!

  17. You are just helping your mom learn how to sleep in shifts.

  18. If your Mom is like our Mom, we bet she really IS an early riser, but maybe not THAT early:)

  19. Eating that early is going to ruin your digestion (as Mawmaw Mary would have said). You need to be resting and still digesting supper until at least 6am.

  20. Yikes, Juney. That is very early for humans. Maybe Mom can get you a timed feeder for in the morning?

  21. Your Moms should be glads that you can do your buziness inside, cause I usually wake Ma up at zero-dark-thirty to take me out in the cold to do my buziness....she doesn't seem happy abouts this eithers. Butts, it's 12 yrs. and counting, guess who's winning??😁 Keep up the good work Juney!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  22. We all used to insist on before sunrise breakfast. It took dad some time to change our behavior 10 minutes every few days. Then when we added to the family they fell in line as they saw that this was the plan. Sorry June.
