FELINE FRIDAY ~ THE MENU

Do you get to select your own supper?  Your choice of breakfast?  If I am hanging 'round the kitchen (which I usually am ~ 5 am and 5 pm!) I do!  There is a drawer, and I know which one it is, that has all my foods in it.  Now the very minute, the very second, my humom opens my  drawer...

I jump into my drawer.
I paw around through the selections!
Mmm. No! Yes? Maybe? Mmm, had that yesterday ...
Sometimes I even knock out onto the floor the one I want!
But today ... oh my cat, meow my friends ...

What good is it to have your food drawer if it doesn't have your foods in it?

  1. Oh June, to have say in my choice of foods would be divine! I have to get what mom and dad tell me is good for me, what with my kidney stuff and all. Now and then, though, they'll let me have something that's not special diet. I mean, come on, at 17 I should get to eat what I want, right?

  2. Cleo, I do not remember how to turn "cat years to human years" but am thinking we might be similar in age ... and cause I am old (the human here meowing) I agree it's time to eat what we want, oh yes, oh yes!

  3. June, if I let Derry choose his own menu he'd eat nothing but Greenies hairball treats right now. Ha. I certainly hope you're not as fussy about food as he is, though!

P.S. Tell your mum thank you for her comment and that my girlfriend let me know that her mum had passed quietly at 3:30 PM Atlantic time yesterday.

  4. My foodables wouldn't fit into a kitchen drawer and I don't have nearly the selections that you do, Juney. You're a lucky girl!

  7. Our babies always had a place for their food and only their food. It's good that June gets to pick out what she wants.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

  9. Sometimes variety is the spice of life, and sometimes you just want your usual favorite.

  12. What a drawer of goodies which is a bonus on being an only cat. Dad rotates our meals which is fun as it is a surprise for us. Good in times of lean like now, again

  13. Sometimes the shelves are as bare as Old Mother Hubbard's...and if they are filled, its with the food we don't care for. Go figure. So if petcretary sees the foodables we love...she stocks up...even if there still is some at home, cause well, ya never know...this is the same for us woofies as it is for the kitties...phooey.

  14. Junie, that's a super drawer!
Da Boyz always sniff the can of food that I'm getting ready to open; don't think they smell anything, but it's a ritual now.

  15. We dont get ta choose our own meals (except by not eating what is offerred. Oh, TBT TRIES to make sure the selections are good, but some days we like one and the next day we dont. He IS giving up on the Wellness Chicken, though. We generally dont want it. But he is sneaky. He leaves the chicken out overnight and we eat it eventually. At least he dint order more of it this time.

  17. Whoa! I see some of my faves. I wish we were able to get the Creamies here. They just have the gravies and sometimes the cheese ones. The beef and liver pate is really good. Tell your mom a trip to the grocers might be in order.

  18. If you could be taught to open the cans and then you will be self-sufficient.

  19. How nice to select what you want to eat! Eric would eat anything, but if it had any type of veg in it, Flynn would leave them in a pile on the side of his plate.
We have had friends down for a week (Ginger Jasper's humans) and are away ourselves for a few days next week so commenting is very limited at the moment.
