HAPPY-HELPER TUESDAY

Not too long ago mine Mommy got a microwave but then there was no place for it in our tiny kitchen.
So then she had to get a microwave cart for the microwave!  One thing always leads to another.
It said "some" assembly required, which really meant "a whole lot of" assembly required.

She said she chose one with extra space, because the few cupboards in our tiny
kitchen hold mostly my cat foodz, my cat treatz, and my many lovely cat bowlz.
Which, of course, is just as it should be.

Anyway, I digress.  Due to the "whole of of" assembly thing, plus the fact that she
had chosen one that was heavy and sturdy, she requested help from Mr. Good Neighbor
who it turned out kindly did all the work, while she merely handed him the tools.
I snoopervised and chewed on the packing materials.
After a few many hours, the cart was done and I gave it a thorough and final
quality control inspection and the official JHSA June's Housekeeping Seal of Approval.

Unfortunately, I am no longer allowed inside the cart, a good hiding place,
but consequently the other cupboards have more room, so she can
buy more foodz, more treatz and more lovely bowlz just for me!
And I was a Happy Helper, on a Happy Tuesday!

  1. Special note: we did not invite da Phenny or da Nelly to assist with assembly as we knew if we did so assembly would still be "in progress", various parts and pieces likely damaged and a number of screws, nuts 'n' bolts gone missing. Having read how stuff is put together in there cottage ... well ...

  2. June, I think it's lovely that you actually have your very own cabinet to keep all your goodies in. Even if the door is locked and you have to wait for your mom to get the food out at least you know where it is. And you know how well built the furniture is. Precious

  4. I really dislike when it says some assembly needed because you know that is going to be an understatement! The cart does look very nice and sturdy.

    1. About a month ago, without explanation, or any changes to my blog (or other WP blogs) I could not post comments on at least a dozen or more Wordpress blogs. Yet other WP blogs do still allow me to comment. Have emailed with each of those WP blog owners, and none know why. Various efforts to "fix" this have all failed. EASY is just one of them.

  10. June, you snoopervise the same way angel Nicki did. Ha! Looks like a great cart, though, and we're glad your human got help for the assembly. The biped used to order quite a bit from Ikea, in past years, and usually poured herself a double something before she sat down to tackle the assembly. LOL.

  11. Sometimes simple ideas turn so complicated. Glad you had fun in the cart before the "no cat" sign went up!

  12. This is a lovely story all around enhanced with June's comical positions. Your neighbor is very kind to take on the assembly, and from the look of it he did a very good job. Everyone's a winner in this scenario, making it such a feel-good anecdote. It sure made me smile.
