THANKFUL THURSDAY THAT TURNED OUT NOT TO BE

Oh, I was so, so thankful and very, very excited when I discovered
a new toy to play this morning. Isn't it cool?
It would swing all around when I pawed-and-batted at it.
And there was more than one!
OMC, there was another on the other window.

Can you imagine my disappointment when I woke from my morning nap
and both windows looked like this?
Being thankful on this particular Thursday did not last very long.  Sigh.

    1. Indeed, our "windows" have been haunted alot of late, especially when we want to visit friends like YOU
      and are "ghosted"!

  2. Bummer - the not-so-fun mini-blind police came while you were sleeping and ruined your fun.

  3. Our windows looked like that for a long time, but then our kitties lost their kitten ways for the most part and now the cords dangle once again.

  4. My goodness June, how high in the sky do you live? I think you can look down on the world from those fun windows. And who in their right feline mind would hang the blind tassels up too high for the kitty to get? But as an older and more sedate cat, mol, the tassels no longer interest me. I get into other things if and when I am awake. Precious

  5. I was in Mama Panic Mode when I saw you playing with the new toys, then sighed in relief that you have a really smart
mama who put them up out of harms way. they are dangerous to cats, dogs and small kids.

  7. Oh, June!
It's best that those fun items are pinned up, sweetheart!

  8. Some things aren't meant to be toys even though we think they should be, June. Your mom is smart to keep them out of your way, so her blinds continue to work, and you don't get hurt playing with those cords.

  9. I, like MadSnapper, was immediately concerned about that and immediately relieved! Good mom! My daughter had a terrible incident with them and her tiny DOG! Thank goodness she was home when it happened and all ended well.

  10. The same thing happened to us. Our mom ruined our good fun. She said something about not wanting us to hang ourselves....sheesh.

  14. That is quite a view, June! Best to keep blinds down at night though, and cords tucked away just as your Mom has them.

  15. Yes Mom was just "doing it for your own good" Junie ! Good for her ! Our picture window blinds were looped and our Mama discovered she could still make them work by pulling one side or the other so she cut the loop open.

  20. Gramma's window's used to look like that last pic. At one point she had blinds with those ends tied together until whatever cat she had at the time hung itself. Don't worry she saved the cat in time.
