Mount Vernon Place in downtown Baltimore is my home.
Beautiful in any season, it takes on a special glow at the holiday season.
Ferns and berries hang from old lamp posts.
To the left ~ the Walters Art Museum and on the right, not shown,
the Peabody Conservatory and Library.
The park centered with the now lighted Washington Monument.
Two parks reaching out on each side, places to sit, rest,
to enjoy the magnificence of historic architecture of buildings
and homes from centuries past. Thankful for this ...
A beautiful city of Baltimore certainly knows how to decorate for Christmas. Right in the middle of all that lovely history.
ReplyDeleteWe were less than 3 hours from Baltimore last weekend. One of these days we will make it to Maryland. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOur small town puts up the same decorations on the light poles that have been going up for decades!

ReplyDeleteWe used to love going into Baltimore during the holiday season. So much to see, so much to do.
ReplyDeleteMark's Mews: Cities can be lovely sometimes. Well TBT says so; we have never seen one ourselves. What WE see are suburban houses all lit up. It is rather strange (TBT says "chaotic").

Looks like it's beautifully decorated! I lived MD awhile when young but never really visited Baltimore, though I did see the Beatles there, in 1964.
