DR. SUESS DAY ~ SOCKS vs SOCKS

To honor the inimitable Dr. Suess we have rewritten/written two poems to share today.
SOCKS and SOCKS
I wear and am known (a little bit) for my red and white stripey socks.
June on the other paw, for her love of all things polka dot, those polka dots in blue and white.
Having said that, poem #1 is a slight rewrite of earlier versions from past years.
It should be noted that June strongly objected to my publishing poem #1 under her name.
I did relent and allow her to pen her own, poem #2, which she acknowledged and willingly signed.

  16. You've done it again, allowing June to express herself in her own dotty way! You have 'tot' her well, Ann. Raising a dotty totty is no mean feet. In fact, June's feet are rather sweet. Happy Dr. Suess Day 2023 to you both. Once more you have earned your stripes whilst propagating poetry. Love, Wendy & Dani.πŸ€—πŸ˜»πŸ«ΆπŸ‘πŸ§¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ”΅⚪️πŸ”΅⚪️πŸ”΅⚪️♥️♥️

  26. I am so very late...
    There was this spate...
    of ice and snow,
    you know...

But we love you so much
    We came by to see
    All about June
    and her Mom and such

    We love your poem(s)!
    We have some gnomes...
    Who have socks
    All red and white
    On one,
    Its quite a sight!
We think he was in your closet
    One night...
    And found some socks,
    So stealthy as a fox.
    He put them on
    And took off
    To land in our eavestrough!
    So we rescued him.
    And he's happy
    with his new trim!

    You can see him here:
