THE PARADE and THE SOCKS

Our St. Patrick's Day Parade was last Sunday.
It was very colorful, and noisy and fun.  But it was also cold and windy.
I watched from this little ledge around the parking lot next to my building.
I stood next to this very very tall man.  He was eating a hot dog.
He did not share his hot dog with me.
But he did give me a green hat that looked just like his green hat.
That was very nice of him.
Mine Mommy had to go upstairs to our apartment to put more socks on her feet
because this tall man with the green hat asked to borrow her red-and-white stripey socks
and she was nice and said, yes, he could.
I wondered why he didn't wear green-and-white stripey socks.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

  2. What skinny ankles he has. That's cause he did not share his sandwich, June.

  3. That is the tallest leprechaun I have ever seen! He could have given you a little nibble of his hot dog though. Be careful though because they can be mischief makers!

  4. June, I also wonder why he did not give you a piece of his hotdog. Guess he is super hungry!
I also wonder why his docks are not green and white ;)
    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  12. That guy looks scary but TW says he has nice blue eyes. I don't like test tubes so I wouldn't have wanted any of his. Glad your mom is able to hobble, er, move around again. I'll have to tell you about the time TW "crashed" the NYC parade. HAH! She didn't even get arrested.

  13. That is one tall leprechaun ... Maybe he can't see his feet and that's why his socks are the wrong color. Sorry you didn't get a bite of hot dog, June, I think he should have given you some.

  14. That's one really tall leprechaun, June! It would have been nice if he'd given you a bite of magical hotdog ... That is puzzling about the red and white socks!

  15. How original, and funny, too! Only your Mom and you could come up with a super-tall leprechaun eating a hotdog on St. Patrick's Day. You look awesome in your hat, June. Too bad the Irish dude wasn't into sharing anything else.

  18. You costume is fantastic but I would not trust that long chap for all the scotch in Ireland.

  20. Well red and white does go with green, but that is at Christmastime, LOL!!

Pawppy just came home from a meeting, (Yes he's driving again, Phew!), and he must have thought she was crazy because she was laughing so loud. Woke the pups up too...
