the woods are lovely dark so deep
I wander through, half dream, half sleep
how did I dare, I did not care
no fear had I
of blackened sky
of screeches, screams
yes, just a dream
for I was close at mine Mommy's knee

The poet probably would have smiled at that, June. I'm glad that in reality you were warm and safe with your mom. :-)
