CATURDAY ART ~ WAKE UP

Our art today was not focused on the image, but rather on the background.  First we searched for two photos that complemented one another, or told a short story.
June, napping on the table top, woke when I called her name.  She gave me a slightly "okay" yet really "not okay" glance.
Using these two pictures, the background was just a failed effort to replicate the placemat, getting two of the colors but not the ribbed woven pattern.  Sometimes you get where you want to be, sometimes you don't.
That's part of the fun of art, experimenting!  And not knowing where you'll end up!

  2. You don't look happy about being woken up, June.

  3. Such cute pictures of June you captured. We think the border compliments the placemat.

  4. I like both picture but that second one, wow! The soft colors are glowing! The reddish nose and reddish tones in the matt, the greenish eyes, they are just sparkling! Red and green are, after all, complementary colors that do have an enhancing effect on each other, but it's somehow more than just that!

  5. Even if the frame wasn't exactly how you wanted it to turn out, we love the story here and always enjoy seeing sweet Juney!
