ZOEY

ZOEY.  I've never been able to really tell her story and am still unable to fully do so.  She shared our lives, our home in Florida from the age of 5-months in September 2006 until June of 2013, a few months after my husband passed away.  To say she was special is an understatement, so I hope the images above, chosen from thousands, tell her story.
ZOEY~ was Poppy Vic's "heart cat" in every way and over his four years of cancer treatments she was at his side, and while he still worked you'd find her on his desk, a cat nap in his in-box.  Yet during those same years she found time to run about our home, play and tease our infant grandson who stayed with us each day and entertain my elderly Mom, for whom I was also caregiver.
ZOEY ~ her days were certainly full ~ going from one to another of her "family members", very young and very old ~ watching over them all.  Her attention to me came only at meal time!!  Just the same, I adored this toothy-polka-dot toed silly little kitty girl.
ZOEY ~ in late 2012 much had changed and now there was a need to sell our home after losing my Mom, and then Poppy Vic and the decision was made to move North, and I was unable to take her with me.  So in June of 2013 she moved, to a new home, to remain a Florida girl and found new parents who loved her as much as we had.  Parents who enjoyed all her silliness and sweetness as much as we had ~ and with them, went on to enjoy many many more years of wonderful life ... but she is always, Zoey Forever.

  2. Hugs to you, Ann. I find that often there are no words to fully describe the depth of what our special companions have brought to us. No words are needed in this case anyway; the photos speak for themselves. 💕

  6. Dear, sweet Zoey. As Ann said, you really were the most amazing being.

We miss you. But I'm sure Poppy-Vic was glad to have you back. I imagine that heavenly reunion when my heart is sad for the loss of you. Then a smile through tear-filled eyes.

    Happy Birthday, baby girl.

  18. Sweet Zoey, our Mom and Angels knew her well. It must have been so hard to make the decision you did, but she knew you loved her and gave her another wonderful home. <<<>>>

  28. What a beautiful and wonderful kitty. Love those blue eyes. Sorry you had to leave her to be a Florida cat but if she loved it there, it was important. She was a special kitty.
