WHAT IS YOUR COMFORT LEVEL?

Last month, mine Mommy and I took a short break from our bloggie.
One thing she did during that time was some "spring cleaning" and a little bit of rearranging.
During the winter, my big cat tree had been in the corner, away from the window, but now she
planned to move it back to the window where it would get more sun and warm breezes,
and put a small table and lamp in the corner.

SPECIAL NOTE:  I have never, ever, never chosen to sit in the top level of the tree, never!

So, temporarily, my cat tree was moved to the center of the room, while she moved the table,
dusted and ran Mr Dyson around.

So, what did I do?
I surveyed my kingdom from the top level.
I could see all 'way around!
And there I stayed.

While she dusted.  While she Mr Dyson-ed here and there.  Windex-ed this and that.
And there I stayed.

And then she ate lunch.  And there I stayed.
And she cleaned my litter loo box.  And went downstairs to do a load of laundry.
And there I stayed.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
But then we had a little talk.  She stood in front of me.
Me still in the top level ... and she said,

"Junie, I have to move your cat tree now ... back by the window."

"No please, I so like it here, I can see ever-thing, all 'way round! Like never before!"

"Junie, it just can't stay it the middle of the room, it just can't!"

And so it didn't.

(happy for mine Mommy, not so much for me ...
actually, it's not so bad, I like the sunpuddles there
and the warm whiffies on my furs,
but let me point out I have never, ever, never
and will never, ever, never
sit in the top level again!)

  2. Hmmm, perhaps next time it gets put in the middle of the room, get yourself some good heavy duty construction adhesive and squeeze out a caulk gun-full under the tree. Just a thought.

  3. Well done on getting up to that top level, June. Maybe one day you will change your mind and go up there again.

  4. June, we are so glad that you tried out that tip top of your mountain. While it was right in the center of your huge country. This way you got to survey your entire land.

  5. A little change is good and that time in the middle of the room was a bonus time that will be special the next time your tree ends up there for a few hours. Enjoy your sun puddles and fresh air.

  6. You are really high up, Juney, and your cat tree next to the window at the top level would have you seeing even more than you do on the second level!

  7. June, that is a lofty perch from which to see everything! Maybe try it again even if it's in a different part of the room?

  11. We think it is a kitty's prerogative to decide when or if she wants to sit on her cat tree

  14. June what a happy Tuesday post. Tis the season for spring cleaning and decluttering. I know you enjoyed your 360 degree view from atop. Maybe down the road as we celebrate June in June you will jump to the top again.

  15. Never say never, June. You just don't know when a cat tree move may be in the cards. Mebbe you should get some Tarot cards to find out. Actually, part of what makes it so exciting is that it's a new experience. So until it happens again you can try to dream up what you will do in the future. Maybe you could even write a book about it!

  19. Maybe Mom can move it to the center of the room for you to enjoy whenever she does the cleaning, Juney. Sorry it can't stay there permanently, but at least it could be for sometimes every so often.

  20. June, you really don't want that tree in the middle of the room where your Mommy could trip and fall. We bet that spot by the window is a great viewing location. And we think you should get brave and try out that penthouse level.

  21. It's too bad your apartment isn't bigger so your mom could leave the cat tree in the middle of the room for you, June.

  22. At our house it probably would've stayed where the kitty wanted it! But by the window is best for you, June.

  23. She should have let you keep it in the middle of the room. Penny makes me keep one in the middle of the kitchen. XO

  24. It is lovely that you could watch your mom working from the comfort of your comfy spot! Your Mom could use a well deserved rest after all that work!

  26. June, look at you at the tippy top!!!! You’re a brave beauty!

  27. Ah, well, in the middle your mommy would trip on it and might get hurt and that would be worse than having it by the window. There's always a bright side.

  28. Almost like an appartement so high up

  29. I moved to a small apartment so our kitties have been demoted to a smaller cat tree. They would love this!
