We've often said that June is not a lap cat.
She will come up, sit beside me when it is time for brushies. Beside me only.
Jumping back down the very moment brushing is over.
Once, only once in her five-plus years here was I pleasantly surprised when
she did jump up, sit in my lap. I have since forgotten when or how long that special time was,
or how long it lasted ... but here are two photos captured.
Unaltered ~ Altered
Sweet photos of June. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt’s rare but so precious when a cat chooses to curl up in your lap.
ReplyDeleteFun pictures of June and I especially love her bright eyes in that second one! We find kitties have so many different ways of enjoying their humans, we never know what to expect.
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely, and it was an honour when June sat on your lap, and hopefully one day she will do it again.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos of you, Juney. You are a lot like Molly was. She only liked to be "friendly" when thunder or lightning or fireworks were scaring her. Other than that - hands off. We hope that as you get older you will maybe like the snuggle with your mommy.
ReplyDeleteYou have the most beautifully groomed cats! Enjoy your weekend sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lovely, June!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you need to find a lap of kindness
ReplyDeleteMOL MOL MOL June you and Angel Madi must be kissin' cussins she was not a lap cat at all
ReplyDeleteI love the quote
Hugs Cecilia
with cats you take what they give and no more... she might change as she ages. beau will be 12 soon and he has had a lot of changes in the past 2 months
ReplyDeleteThat was special, indeed. How wonderful that you captured the moment on film. XO
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute, June. I know your mom would love it if you started sitting on her lap once in a while.
ReplyDeleteCould be more lap naps in the future!
ReplyDeleteBut you are always so darn adorable sweet June!
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful Mudpie is a lap cat (except for during the summer). Now that it's getting chilly we're gearing up for cuddle season :)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a beauty. XO
ReplyDeleteThe good news is June doesn't weigh 80 lbs. Like some pets I know. 🤣
