Mine Mommy is always thankful when she gets what she says is a
cute picture of me. She said this upside down picture is cute.
It's only upside down 'cause she stood on the side of the chair to take the picture!
So, this is a REAL photo.
So, here's the thing.
If she turned it around, rotated it, in her Photoshop, it would be the
way I was, but not be a real photo because it was not the way she actually took the picture.
So the picture would be "fake". Like all the "fake news" that's out there today!
You know, like those word-salads someone posts as "truth",
but are light years away from being truthful!
Bottom photo: Fake.
We're happy (mostly, except when playing with Photoshop) to only
show and share REAL photos.
And of course, I'm happy because as you know,
I'm a REAL cat. And that is the TRUTH.
thats like magic somehow ;O)=
ReplyDeleteThe real photo is lovely and much better than fake. It is easy to see how someone can turn fake to look real, and how so many believe it.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of fake news lately - the stretching of the truth, but you are all real and very cute, Juney!
ReplyDeleteTurning a photo isn't bad but all the stuff that is created with ai instead of a real photo and other photo stuff people do along with fake news is simple tiring.
ReplyDeleteI would like "AI" to mean "Artistic Inspiration" ... where one creates an image from their mind and heart and their own intelligence ... NOT allowing "artificial" intelligence to take over the process ... I know it is happening out there, second by second, becoming more powerful and invasive. I do accept it has a place in our lives, in society where it can and will do good things. Yet also believe limitations need to be imposed ... it has the potential to kill human creativity before we even realize it ...
DeleteYou are definitely a real cute kitty!!

I love the very real photos your Mommy takes of you, June! AI is something I don't like, all those overly polished pictures I've started seeing on social media every day, that isn't real photography, not to me. I see traditional photo editing as something entirely different, where a human chooses how much of each effect to use.
ReplyDeleteGood one Mom ~ June is awesome whatever way you hold the camera ~ hugs,

Charlee: "Looks like time for real chin skritches!"
ReplyDeleteBoth directions are cute images! Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteUpside, downside, or at an angle, Junie...you are adorbs!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute picture of you no matter how you rotate it, June.
ReplyDeleteLove the real and fake photos! I am totally against AI and fake news, well most news! I avoid it and I refuse to sign up to social media as well. Just my blogs!
ReplyDeleteJune yes I agree chin skritches are in order
ReplyDeleteApologies for being late
I twisted my ankle (really bad) last night. Spent the morning at my doc's office getting it checked out and xrays
It is better today and she doesn't think it is broken. Hope to hear from xrays tomorrow
Hugs cecilia
You're adorable from any angle!
ReplyDeleteYou are a real pretty girl sweetest June! Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI like the real best. XO

ReplyDeleteIt is very difficult these days. I sometimes have to straighten a photo because I took it a bit crooked, or crop so you can see the part that’s important to the point of the post, but I don’t change the meaning and intent of the photo. Those who use words to hide true meaning and intent need to be found and pointed out.
ReplyDeleteWe do love seeing you in the real! Turned or straight!! I've dabbled in the AI stuff now and then, sometimes it follows my ideas I give, and sometimes its just awful!
ReplyDeleteI AM NOT ANONYMOUS. This is from LOULOU. Love those photos twisted and turned. What a beauty is that kitty. How can I get on your comments page as LOULOU?????
ReplyDeleteWe would say that, in this case, it's just a question of perspective. "Real" fake is when the essence is toyed with to provide a different meaning or outcome. You are worth your weight in gold from any angle, June!
