I received a press release a few days ago from LIVESTRONG.org and would like to share their quote, from Lance Armstrong, made during his recent attendance at a global summit on cancer.

PHOTO HUNT: NATURAL

I am told that I am resting in a basket made of NATURAL materials.

It would be UN-NATURAL for me to not sit in a basket, that's what cats do.

I think it is NATURAL that there is a "not for sale" tag on this basket.

It would be UN-NATURAL for me to be "for sale" [tho Maggy might disagree with that].

On a more serious note:  there is nothing natural about cancer.
Next Saturday, October 2, we come together in recognition of LIVESTRONG Day
to raise awareness of cancer.  GO YELLOW and participate.

FUNNY PICTURE FRIDAY ~ PAW PRINTS

You know when this new little "kiddeh" starting coming to the Zoolatry home last February, he didn't do much at all.  I mean he slept a lot, and ate a lot, and used his pampering litter box a lot.  Oh, and sometimes he cried a lot.  Other than that, no big deal.  Now, it's quite a different story.  I'm not quite sure what to make of him most days.  You see at first, I thought he was a "kiddeh".  But if you look closely now, as I did, well ~ he might just be a "kitteh" like me, after all ~ he's got paws now!  Though he still doesn't have as much fur as me.

PS... just in case you're wondering... no, he couldn't get the dresser drawer open.  Of course, I can't do that either, having no thumbs.  Wonder what we might have found inside...

THANKFUL THURSDAY

ZOEY! What on earth is going on here?

I just wanted to remind all our furriends about LIVESTRONG Day, coming up on October 2.

So I went to the salon and got my furs "highlighted" as a reminder that we're all "going yellow"!

Zoey, I think your furs look quite nice, but we have some serious things to say here...

Well, I put all that serious stuff under my picture...

First, it is Thankful Thursday, and we are very thankful so many of our blogging friends

will be taking part in LIVESTRONG Day.

There are so many new kitteh and woofie bloggers out there, we hope all the old-timers

are spreading the word about this event, as we don't have emails for lots of the

new kids on the block.

We also wanted to mention that our event is now officially listed on the LIVESTRONG

website.  We are also developing a special blog ~ where you can post your pictures

and words for the event.  We are also working on setting up a special Mr Linky for the day.

And, a slide show presentation of everyones post is also in the works.

There are a whole lot of bloggers who are helping with all of this, and to each

and every one ~ a big thank you.

We hope you'll check back in with us on Saturday (or Sunday?) when we hope to

have all the details for all of these things, the proper links, emails, etc. etc.  And we'll

also be thanking all the volunteers and helpers for this event.

WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY

We have two words for today: (1) coming, and (2) going.

There are lots of comings and goings at the Zoolatry home.

One example: when the kid is coming, the cat gets going.

TUESDAY TAILS 'N' TOES

I know this photograph is a little dark, but look closely.  See, you can see some of my toes.  And if you look even closer, you can see a teeny tiny bit of my tail, even though I am mostly sitting on my tail.  I like sitting in an open window.  There's so much to see.  I can hardly wait for the fall days to come when the windows will be open lots of the time. 



MAGGY MONDAY

This painting hangs on the wall in our living room.  In the corner are the initials MMM 1901.  The ZH has told me that was her Great Aunt Mary Margaret.  She also has told me that I am named Mary Margaret after her.  I'm not a painter like she was, but I do like to look at this pretty watercolor of roses.  And I am rarely called Mary Margaret (sometimes if I do something bad, which is not often).  I'm usually just Maggy.

I AM SO BORED TODAY

A. I am so bored today.  Just layin' here by the coffee table, nothing to do.  Maggy is napping, what else?  And the rug-pup's not here today, so all his cool toys are put away.  And Porch Kitty & her little ones are off in the woods somewhere, so what's the use of looking out the window? 

B. Aah, I can look under the table.  See what's here.  Maybe I'll find a treasure or a treat.

C. Sigh.  Lots of dust bunnies.  Doesn't she ever clean under here? 

D. Wait!  There's a candy wrapper. An an old potato chip.  And look over there, I think I see ~ what is that anyway?  I'm not sure what I see ~ can you make out what it is? 

E. Well, I'm bored once again.  Guess I'd better find something else to do.  By the way, I am curious about why the ZH calls that the "coffee" table, there's never any coffee on it.
