#**%(*)/<>:#=#**+!!

We have two ceiling fans on our back porch. (Warning: Do Not Biggify above photo, it is way too gross!) They are made of forest green canvas, though you can hardly tell the color any more. The Zoolatry Human has to clean them annually. See how dirty they are! They get dirt and dust from the back yard, and grease and grime, and of course -- all my cat floof which like heat, rises up. Each fan has five blades -- and each blade is held in place with nine clips. The clips are as sharp as cats claws and she usually cuts her fingers to shreds. She hates this job and that is why she only does it once a year -- though she should do it more often than that. The headline up above is what she says while doing this job. So, I think I will help her ...
Here are the important steps in the process of cleaning of ceiling fans. 1. Observe ladder and ensure it is climbable. 2. Once up on top, scope out general work area. 3. Ensure sturdiness of platform. 4. Lay down and rest a bit. 5. Check to see that all working tools and cleaning equipment is close at hand. 6. Depart area and leave remainder of process in capable, albeit cut up and shredded hands of the human.

And Lastly, My Advice To The Human: simply leave both fans on high speed at all times and no one will ever know they are dirty. See photo at top and compare to this bottom photo. I'm right, as usual.

  1. Oh we are sure our Mommy wouldn't want that job either. We do have fans inside that Mommy cleans about every 6 weeks. Her favorite fans are in the livingroom, the fan blades are made of wood and look like leaves. Mommy has to put polish on them too but they really put out the air even from way up high! Maggy & Zoey, do you have inside ceiling fans?=^Y^=the Cat Street Boyz

  4. That does look like a really job! We only have one fan and we never have it on. The PM pushes a duster over it once a year and that's it!!

  6. Of course you're right! Spray em with some of that non stick cooking spray too. That might keep the ick from sticking? What do I know?

  9. We don't have a lot of need for fans in the UK ha ha! Although MM has a small fan on most of the time - even in the winter!
