Spectacular! Awesome! Beautiful!

It's 4:00 am, Eastern time.  The ZH is already propped on the sofa, coffee in hand and ready for the Royal Wedding (we are ignoring the two donuts she also has in hand).

Maggy and Zoey are primping and preening, about to don their finest finery.  Then they'll teleport over to Westminster Abbey for the festivities.  The ZH recently read to them from an AP news story, Royal wedding spreads hat fever.  It said, in part "bookmakers are betting on the color of Queen Elizabeth's hat -- odds are on  yellow.  Hats have long denoted status, said Oriole Cullen, curator of a Victoria & Albert Museum 2009 hat exhibit.  Up until the 1950s, a woman wasn't even considered properly dressed unless she was wearing a hat and gloves.  In Britain, the tradition has remained strong."  Last week Maggy and Zoey went to the Cattery Hattery in the village to choose their millinery for the big day.

Favoring the Queen, but also having the same fondness as the Queen Mum for flouncy florals and feathers, Zoey choose this lovely hat with a wide yet sheer brim to allow her eyes to shine through...
Maggy normally does not do hats, disliking any sort of public exposure.  But she did become excited about "the wedding" and asked the head designer (no pun intended) at the Cattery Hattery to create a very special one of a kind headpiece to complement her elegant persona ...
As soon as the festivities wind down, Maggy and Zoey
will teleport quickly back home.
Today is also a very important day here on the Space Coast.
The final launch of shuttle
ENDEAVOUR is scheduled for lift off at 3:47 pm.
This is the second to last launch of the NASA shuttle program.
Mark Kelly will blast off as mission commander of Endeavour and her crew of five.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) is expected to be at the launch pending
her physician approval.  Rep. Giffords, wife of Commander Kelly,
was wounded in a January 8 shooting in Tuscon.
President Barack Obama and his family are expected to attend today.

USING "THE BOX"

I'd like to use the litter box.  Can you please give me a little privacy?
 Hhrumph, I don't think so.
Well, you didn't clean up so good after yourself anyway...
Hhrumph.  However, after yesterdays post it may be
that you really do need to use it, and soon!
She's still there.
Guess I'll just have to wait awhile longer.

We're both very excited about tomorrow morning, when we'll
teleport over to Westminster Abbey for "the wedding"...
hope we see some of our good British furriends there!
Then we have to quickly teleport back home to take in the
launch of Shuttle Endeavour in the afternoon!
It is a very special launch in many ways.
Godspeed, Endeavour!

HAPPY EASTER

Aaah, a chocolate bunny and maybe some sugar-sweet peeps,
life couldn't get much better!

OK, now who's been nibbling at my chocolate bunny?
And where are my yellow chick peeps?
I see yellow-sugar-sprinkles all over the kitchen floor...

SUNDAY ART GALLERY on SATURDAY

We are still in the midst of photo-file-cleaning
(though after a month at it we are barely 20% done!)...
We must admit however that the best part of doing this tedious chore
is coming across photo-art we'd long ago forgotten!
With tomorrow being Easter Sunday, we decided to temporarily move our
Sunday Art Gallery and post from our archives today.
Here, a collection of "Famous Furs" ~
immortalized in literature, theater, movies, monuments and music.

HOUSE OF HORRORS by FIN, Housecat Confidential

The fabulous floofer Fin over at Housecat Confidential
is hosting the House of Horrors Week.
Maggy decided to share with you a few words and pictures about
what she calls her Small Horror, or the SH.
_____________________________________________________
As you may know, I like to spend most of my time enjoying the breezes and sun spots of the back porch.  But most early mornings you can find me on the window ledge in the guest room, as the rising sun streams in here.  Usually this is a good place to be.  Even Zoey "the botherer" doesn't much bother me here.
But yesterday morning, Monday, well, admittedly, I forgot about that SH ...
Yes, the SH.  Small Horror.  Or Small Human if I must be kind.  He invades my space.  He wants to play.  He wants to touch my furs.  Oh, horrors.  Please do not touch me.  He has only one speed you know: VERY FAST.  He purrs with only one volume: VERY LOUD.  And he does not touch, he grabs and swats and tugs.  Yes, it is a horror indeed to be subjected to this treatment.  Go away, I say.
Gramma, Maggy isn't being nice. Maggy doesn't want to play with me.
See, see the look on his face!  I know he's off to find some
Lego's that he can throw at me.
He thinks he's won this battle.  But I shall win the war.
Perhaps if I scootch back a bit more behind the curtain, he won't know I'm here.
All suggestions on how to handle the SH will be welcome.
I guess I should be glad the Small Horror is only here on Mondays and Fridays,
the other days he goes to day care.
I can rest up on the in-between days.  Speaking of  "horrors", I just had a eureka
moment... I wonder if I can make arrangments for Zoey to go to day care...

SWEET SATURDAY

It's very rare to get a good photograph of Maggy.
She usually turns away, walks away, bows her head or
is sleeping.  But earlier this week, while on the back porch,
she allowed me to photograph her.  Here, my favorite of
her beautiful face, without flash, and in
natural lighting and showing the intensity of her blue eyes.
Thank you, pretty Maggy!

PHOTO HUNT: TREES

When the ZH and Poppy were house-hunting back in 2000, they looked and looked and looked.  Then one day, the ZH said "this is it!".  Poppy said, "what do you like best about this house?"  And the ZH replied, "the trees!  I can see trees from every window in the house, nothing but trees!".  And so they bought this house. So they bought this house for the TREES.
That's Maggy on the back porch.  Everyone loves the back porch.  The house has lots of windows, I counted them today and there are twenty windows and the ZH is right, you can see TREES from every one of them.  The back porch used to look like a jungle, cause the ZH had so many plants and even trees out there.  But when I came to live here in 2006, I liked to climb them and chew them and dig in them and eat them, I liked that a lot ~ so she had to get rid of all the inside TREES.

FRIENDS FRIDAY ~ GINGER JASPER

Me 'n' the Magster have been around the cat blogger world for almost 5-years now, and when I was working on a post for today (we usually do Friends Friday) I decided to post pictures of one of our dearest and oldest friends.  I mean old in that we've known one another a long time (we're both old timers with blogging).

So here is our sweet and good and handsome friend, Ginger Jasper.  Jasper's has been sick lately ~ so me 'n' Mags wrote him a get well note, and then we pulled some of our favorite photoshop art pictures of him from our album.  We hope you enjoy!
