I TRIED TO WRITE A POEM FOR THE LETTER "U"

Yes, I tried to write a poem.  For the letter "U".
Let me tell you friends, it was very hard to do!
It's not very funny.  Has misspelled words and doesn't rhyme.
But this poem, well, even so, it's mine, yes ~ all mine!

I'm glad we're done with letter "U".
Now here comes V and X, Y, Z.
Oh dear, oh me, (expletive deleted)  ~ what will I do?
All those look very hard to me!

(Except maybe the "Z")

Well, maybe for the upcoming Thursdays, I'll join Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop ~ he's the new owner and manager and supervisor in charge (Paws Up to you, Brian) of this classic and well known Blog Hop.  It runs every Thursday ~ you should go check it out.
I am thinking that if I did that, I wouldn't have to try and write these poems.
Now, that's no reflection on my friend, Sammy. You know each Thursday is also Sam's Poetry Corner ~ at One Spoiled Cat, and lots of our pet friends post over there, and having been going through the entire alphabet!  Wow, there were some hard letters before (before I joined in) ... like "I" and "O" and OMC, the letter "Q".  I should go back and read some of those old poems.  Well, there's lot of things I should do, but I never get around to them ... sigh ... I am now rambling.  OMC, could I ever write a poem about rambling ... sigh ... gotta go ...  if you click on
the "blue words", those are LINKIES and you can visit Brian and Sammy ...

  4. We happen to love your U poem about the wonderful thing that is the umbrella! You would be so ashamed of this human, though. She went for a walk yesterday, and it started raining, and she had no umbrella to speak of, and so she got perfectly wet and soggy.

  5. What a SPLENDID poem for "U"!!!! I just love it......! When we get to Z (which isn't far away!) we are going to start all over again with "A" so even though you'll do Brian's Thankful post maybe you can sneak in another poem when we begin again?! You are a "for sure" poet..............

    Love and Hugs, Sammy

  7. Patty O'Malley loves getting wet; he's the only cat I know who does! He loves snow too. But he dislikes my umbrella, which I carry when I feed him and Sweetie in the rain. However, when there is food to be eaten, all bets are off, and he gets to noming!
