BLACK CAT APPRECIATION DAY

Though I have never been owned by a black cat ... I do enjoy daily life with a "black dog" who is wonderful and amazing in every possible way.  And many years ago, during another life in Florida (the years 2010 through 2012) at our home there, we tended several feral families of mostly black cats ... the mother Annie, her little ones Bravo, Charlie and Delta Dawn and about the same time, along came Annie's friend Carlacita and her brood of black kitties and tuxies.  They lived on our porch, sleeping, eating and playing there ... and romped about the backyard, often sunning themselves around the barbecue.  Over time we were able to catch and release (TNR) the kittens, though never successfully the mother cats.  At the time, life didn't allow us to bring any of them into our home ... but we loved and enjoyed them all ... and still, in my mind ... Black Cats Are Great!
