A FELINE FRIDAY STORY, as told by JUNE

THE STORY OF MY NEW TOY
OR
MY HUMOM HAS A SHORT ATTENTION SPAN

1. So before she went off to take a shower, she laid her purple pj's on the day bed.
But then she got distracted and went off to do something else [that short attention span had kicked in].
2. I was attracted by the lovely bright purple and particularly the string-tie from the waistband
that was dangling off the edge of the bed.  It was ever so tempting.
3.  I pulled and tugged at it.  I yanked with my teefs, and snagged with my paws and claws.
Slowly it came out, getting longer and longer and longer.
4.  Suddenly she appeared out of nowhere.  JUNE!  OhMyCat.  My pj's!  What a messy mess.  The tie is all wet, all gooey, and it is ripped up too!  I may as well just cut it off, it's no good to me now ...

I quietly meowed (to myself of course) ... as she tied it in loopdy-loops
and knots for me to play with.
I have a new toy!
Aren't we felines smart?  My attention span is far better than hers!

  2. Junie, when Chuck was with us, he chewed on anything that was stringy, and the tie to one pair of pj bottoms was never found again.

  9. Angel Maddie cat would have done something like that too. Her favorite toys were everyday items like strings, twist ties, and onion bags.
