THANKFUL and THOROUGHLY POETIC THURSDAY

This is my poem ~ and this is for you, and if it puts hungers
in your tum-tum for some icy cool yum-yum,
head to the fridge or the nearest ice cream shoppe ~ whichever is closer!
Thanks to Angel Sammy and Teddy for todays poetry photo challenge.

Our freezer is never-ever without ice cream!  Often it holds several flavors ~ of course, chocolate!  Butter pecan, Mint Chip, Coffee!
Are we spoiled?  Without question, a small market right in the lobby of our apartment building makes it all too easy to keep a supply always at the ready, and oh are we thankful for that!
If you asked what our favorite is, the answer:
White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake!
Tell us your favorite!

  2. Oh Ann I love your poem for the ice cream extravaganza photo poem challenge. I SOOOO remember old fashioned ice cream shops (or "shoppes" as it was spelled then. Not as many flavors available in the old days as there are now but what creative choices they've given us these days! My favorite is neapolitan because I have three flavors to enjoy but I pretty much love ALL ice cream. One of the ones in this photo looks like it might be "rosemary flavored" and I'm not entirely sure I'd choose it! HAHA Thanks for participating in our poetry fun on Thursdays.

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

  3. We don't have any ice cream in the house because Mom has no self control. She will eat it until she explodes because she loves it so much. She sometimes goes out to get a serving if there is something to celebrate. Enjoy.

  4. I love most flavours, but chocolate chip is my favourite. I love when we go to Italy and see the huge selection with row on row of temptation.

  7. That's a great poem! We love ice cream here too and always have some in the freezer. It would be difficult to pick just one favorite but we can easily say that our mom likes it when there is crunchy stuff mixed in like Heath bars or cookie dough.

  8. That white chocolate raspberry looks amazing! I don't think I've ever met an ice cream flavor I didn't love, so no sharing of favorites from me - they're all wonderful!

  11. Yup! Ice cream is the best!

(In that picture, at the top right, do I see sprigs of rosemary on top on what looks like vanilla, and next to that cucumber slices???? I wonder what flavors those are?)

  12. Great poem and ice cream is my weakness of all weaknesses. I've not had ice cream for a very long time. Working on dropping 20 pounds and I have 14 pounds remaining.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥

  14. Great poem and Dad is a plain old ice cream kind of person too. When he gets some it is Chocolate Marshmallow and if he does he gets a small vanilla so we can share. Purrs June keep Ice Cream Cool

  16. No dairy products at Eastside Cats, Junie, however once in awhile, a little package of greek yogurt is added to our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant's takeaway. Any intrepid cat gets to lick some of that!

  17. Mom would like a scoop of each please. She always got a double scoop from Friendly's with two different flavors - how she misses Friendly's - none here in Kansas:(

Her favorite flavor is anything with pralines or toffee. We usually have to settle for vanilla or strawberry - Dad's favorites.

  20. Mom buys vanilla. That is because we have vanilla ice cream with frozen blueberries and flavored yogourt as a after dinner treat. Yes, all of get some. Us cats won't eat the blueberries though so we just get ice cream and yogourt. (Mom's favorite flavour is key lime with blueberries from Tickleberries Ice Cream in Okanagan Falls).

  21. Ooohhh! I love me some ice cream please!! LOL! We don't 'do' ice cream anymore due to the overload of naughtiness in them, but sometimes I do make some paleo or keto frozen treats...not quite the same but they do take away the urge to indulge.

I used to go for the so called Moose Tracks, which is a vanilla based concoction with peanut-butter filled pieces in it...mini reeses! and swirls of some other chocolatey caramel yumminess:)

  22. Plain vanilla real ice cream, straight from the spoon. And TBT has his own so we wont catch annything from him. Is that considerate or what?
