FRIENDS FRIDAY, ROMEO

Maggy & Romeo, sitting on a tree,
k-i-s-s-i-n-g!
Wait a minute, that's Maggy and Zoey.
Are they really side by side?
Are they really up close and personal ~ almost?
Our very special friend, Romeo, who lives at Peggy's Place, sent us this loving Valentine's Day gift... two beautiful sparkling blankies and two sweet hearts. Maggy was so excited when the ZH was opening the box, she jumped right up on the dining room table and immediately "tried them out". Must have been a little sweet scent of her Romeo on the blankies, because there she stayed... alladay long, until the ZH threw off the table at dinnertime.
And surprise of all surprises:
When the ZH put one of the blankies on the cat tree, both the girls wanted to be on there, and they rested side by side... will wonders never cease? Thank you, Romeo and thank you Peggy. (PS the ZH is still offurcially on blog break...)

PHOTO HUNT: BROKEN

It's fun to work with photos of my grandchildren,
(I am blessed with three of them...)
and it's even more fun to put their pictures
"together" in some way with our kitties, Maggy and Zoey.
For today's Photo Hunt, we couldn't decide, couldn't choose...
so below are 3 interpretations of "BROKEN".

You know, Zoey, I think she looks like a very serious , safe and cautious driver, don't you agree? No putting on make up, no eating cheeseburgers, no texting... Yes, Maggy, you're right, and it's important not to do those things cause if you do, lots of people and lots of things could get BROKEN.

Once upon a time when the grand-boy-bean was littler than he is now, he was running and jumping and playing hard (just like we kitties do) and he got part of his cute face BROKEN. But he was a good boy for the doctor, and we both got colorful bandages and today he is all better and not BROKEN anymore.
This is the cute girl-grand-bean when she was very little. This one day she had a very funny hair-do and I heard her say, "if you borrow any of my scrunchies, my hair-do will get BROKEN". But I told her that my hairs looked quite BROKEN-up when I got up this morning, and a scrunchie would help.

CAT CONVERSATION

Maggy, I need to ask you some questions.
OK, Zoey.
How's come we're never on YouTube?
Oh Zo, my Zo, "youtubes" belong in "youlitterbox!"
Do we Twitter or Tweet?
No Zo, that's for birds to do.
Are we on Facebook?
No Zo, you know I don't like to show my face.
Well, are we at least LinkedIn?
No Zo, no likey like links.
Have we got IPods and IPads?
No Zo... well, actually we each have four-Ipads we walk on.
You know, Mag, I think we're behind the times.
Maybe so Zo... but remember, the ZH used to drive at least
ten miles out of her way just to find a gas station
where someone else would pump the gas for her
and she still doesn't own a cell phone!
Sigh...

HELLO ~ MISSY BLUE EYES

Today's Search for the Sherwood Seven highlights Missy Blue Eyes. Her tales are many... of her early daring exploits ~ walking atop tall buildings, jumping from tree to tree ~ all while scavenging for food as a little lost feral. Soon Missy birthed a litter, it was on top of a car in the hot Texas sun and little Missy was barely six months old. Fate brought she and her kitties a guardian angel, and tho the little ones all found homes, at the time Missy did not. But again, fate intervened and she came to live with ML and the Sherwoods, and has been there ever since. Missy is likely the "matriarch" of the bunch... beautiful, sweet and good. Maggy and Zoey are happy to have sweet Missy Blue Eyes visit ~ we hope you'll go visit her!

Maggy and Missy share a snooze after her

long trip from Texas to Florida.

Missy and Zoey hold the "tummy time face off" ~

(Missy is the winner!)

Before heading back home, the blue-eyed ladies share
a portrait session.

HANSEL & ZOEY

You may know that Hansel is my BFF... and he recently had
majorly major surgery to fix broken hips. When I took a peek at
his pictures, I thought he looked a bit sad
(I call that being "down in the toof").
Perhaps Tesla was teasing him about his furless butt.
I know Maggy would do that to me. So I went
over to visit my Hansel and give him some
cat cuddling and wise words...

I said "Hansel, I've come to you all shaved-up and skinny,
see, it isn't so bad. I know what it looks like and feels like.
Been there, done that, as they say! But remember dear,
I like you no matter what you look like, and your furs will grow
back soon, and your wounds will heal and you'll be better than new!
And here's one of my pink-heart-bandies to help. Oh, and
Hansel... would you please not stare so intently at my butt,
I'm embarrassed."

After the bandaging and a wee bit of canoodling, my Hansel, who must wear a collar for awhile now, gave me a matching collar to wear ('cept mine is pink). And I brought our favorite jingly balls for us to play with, in matching colors of course. And I also brought my special nippy strip that Tygana made for me. The nip will be good for both of us, we won't be so shy...
