Unbeknownst to my Zoolatry Family, I have been secretly covering the Democratic Convention this past week, and soon I will fly north to cover the Republican Convention. I am planning to win a Purritzer Prize for my journalistic efforts, which have been fair and balanced (oops, that phrase sounds vaguely familiar?). Where can you read my stories you may ask (or maybe you don't ask). Well, my employer of record is "Cat Confidential", so you see, all my reporting must remain confidential (quoting the cliche, what happens in Denver, stays in Denver). As a journalist, it is imperative I remain above-the-fray, that I exercise discretion in my reporting of events, and of course, I must never allow my personal beliefs to infringe upon my responsibility to the American public, and I must never take sides. That is all well and good... however, if you really want to know where my heart lies... just note the next photo.

Hey Maggy, I think the Zoolatry Human made a really really big mistake when she said that Tropical Storm Fay had come and gone. It's still here! It got stuck over the Cape.
She sure did make a mistake Zoey, but I'm glad you found our rainbrellas. Though they won't do much good cause it is still super windy.
Did you see all the flooded roads, I don't think she can get out the driveway to go visit the Zoolatry Dad! Dad will be upset for sure.
But Zoey, the hospital is at the beach and it's not very safe over there.
Well, then maybe she'll stay home today and give us lots of treats. Let's just hope they won't all be water logged.
Hey, what's all the stuff in the yard, is she gonna make us to clean up?
And the frogs and the lizards, they're all over the place, by the hundreds... this ought to be fun.
The news people told us it's now 20-inches of rain ... maybe we should just get our ark out of storage...
We would be "thankful" if this could be over soon...
Someone tagged us for the Needs Meme (but the Zoolatry Human forgot who that was...), so we went on the internet and gave it a try... so here are thirteen needs we found there:
With sincere apologies to Trixie and to Top Cat Rules. The Zoolatry Human just checked her blog around mid-day today and realized she had scheduled the 1st version on a post for today; not the 2nd version as she intended to do. The earlier version had only our picture above.
Last week I went to Dr Opti-Cat with the Zoolatry Human. She said sometimes she sees way too many of me (how can that be?). Other times she says I am way too fuzzy in the middle (gee, I'm fuzzy all over!). The doctor says she has early cat-a-racts. I said, "oh no... we're not having any more cats in our house... on racks or otherwise!"
I got my eyes examined, too. Is 1 better than 2? 1 or 2? 2 or 1?
They use drops to biggify your eyes. I think this magnifier glass does the same thing. I tried on lots of contact lenses (I'm too vain for glasses... at least not yet!). The green ones make me look jealous. The yellow ones make me look bright and cheerful. The red ones make me look angry, and I am never angry. Later my eyes felt quite blank and empty! Later than that, my eyes were once again the "baby blues" that twinkle and shine. I decided not to get contacts.
I think I'll stay with my Elton John Yellow Brick Road Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me Benny and The Jets spectaculars with just a hint of a tint of royal purple.
