Most of the images on the Zoolatry blog are the result of my photoshop work, as are those we create for many other bloggers.  Adobe Photoshop is a passion for me, if not a downright obsession.  However, I am self taught and most finished images are a combination of experimentation, luck and try, try again.  The problem with this is when I've created an image that is satisfactory to me and I hope, pleasing to the viewer, most often I cannot re-create a similar image as I've no idea "how I got there".  It's quite frustrating to say the least.  Here is one such image ~ the handsome cat, MR HENDRIX.  This image was originally posted to my other blog, COLLECTIBLES by Zoolatry, and it remains one of my all time favorites.  Black on black, mostly black.

ANNUAL PURR-FUR-MANCE REVIEW

Maggy here ~ I'm the CEO (Cat Executive Officer) of Zoolatry, Inc., and my partner in crime is Zoey, our COO (Cat Operating Officer).  We've run Zoolatry since early 2007 and feel it's time to review the purr-fur-mance of the ZH who serves as our artist, our imagination, our typist and sometimes (tho not often enough) cleans our litter boxes.

My opinion is that her QUANTITY OF OUTPUT is Two Paws ~ as we've noted 1,828 postings to our site.

QUALITY OF OUTPUT is Four Paws ~ as rated by COO, Zoey, because I like all my silly pictures no matter what they look like!  On the other paw, I, Maggy, CEO, find most of my pictures embarrassing, unflattering and far more fictional-than-factual.  

Moving on to CLIENT PAWTICIPATION, the ZH noted that according to statistics (which she does not believe in) we have had 30,323 visitors and 24,627 comments on Zoolatry.  We humbly ask if that includes spam?  Two Swats here furriends.  We might make green papers for all this work if we could up those numbers...  P.S. from Zoey: she really falls way low, I mean off the charts furriends, when it comes to visiting with many of you.  This is most disturbing to me and Mags as when we do stop by we see amazing photographs, humorous and witty writing, and just lots and lots of fantastic stuff on your blogs.  Management is demanding immediate attention to this issue and improvement is mandatory.  And that includes all the wonderful woofies we know.

As for CLIENT SATISFACTION, I, Zoey, am noting that the ZH has often received high marks from clients (a/k/a: other bloggers) for whom we do photo-art, in fact her files are now bulging with over 5,000 new headers, birthday pictures, gotcha pictures, sidebar tags for special events, remembering pictures and much, much more.  Although most days she is at the computer for 8-10 hours doing photo-art creation for many of you, I would be remiss if I did not remind her that there are 24-hours available each day that could be devoted to us... all of us.  Perhaps this requires One Swat and One Paws Up.  What do you think?

Our OVERALL RATING is general in nature, and shall be anonymous ~ as neither of us wish to put at risk the daily Temptations and Party Mix treats. At this time, the CEO and COO have decided to retain this employee and will not consider her for furlough or layoff.  She does need to make more effort to maintain the high standards of this company, and until that goal is met, we do not recommend a pay grade increase.  She may also want to consider waiving any purrsonal or vacation time to which she may think she is entitled, as doing so would be a strong signal to management of her desire to improve her purr-fur-mance. 

Our expectations: Serve our needs and wants at all times.

EASY, LIKE SUNDAY

Zoey can often be found lounging in the bathroom early in the afternoon. 

The sun streams in through the window

and it is a warm spot for a cat nap.
However, if she hangs out there too long, she is likely
to become a bath mat.  A very soft one.

FRIENDS FRIDAY

Say hello to BLUTO!

This is BLUTO!  The newest member of Our Feral Cat family.  Almost named him (or her?)

PopEye, but that didn't seem to fit ~ then remembered the character Bluto, the big, chunky one

and that did seem to fit.  He's big, chubby, fluffy, white with wonderful black and charcoal markings
and a huge puffed up tail!  Extremely shy.

At first, Porch Kitty & her kids (Smokey and Carlacita)

did not welcome him at all to the feeding station.  Now they've accepted his presence.  Though

he is either timid or polite in that he waits, a bit to the side, until they have finished.

Bluto is obviously a feral as you can see from the tipped left ear. 

Since our post on the ferals last October (see the link below), only PK and her two kids

remain; the others came and went as they so often do.  We were pleased when during our recent

cold spell, they would come into the garage at night and sleep in a box cozied up on one

of our Peggy Blankies.  Perhaps sometime in the future, we can TNR, but until then

we feed and nourish them as best we can.  And we enjoy them!

THANKFUL THURSDAY

Today we are thankful for each of you.  We thank you for your purrs 'n' prayers,

your get well wishes, your healing caring thoughts, and for your friendship.

Late last night we brought Poppy Vic home from the hospital,

and today we are thankful. 

WORDY WEDNESDAY

Sometimes the ZH does not act like a mature, growned-up, older, adult purrson at all.

Take the other day fur example.  I can hear her, trying to sing, in this rather odd voice:

"where is thumbkin, where is thumbkin ~ here I am, here I am....

where is pinky, where is pinky ~ here I am, here I am..."

I figured the only way to put a stop to this nonsense was to help her out.

The ZH told me and Maggy that our daddy, Poppy Vic was coming
home from the hospital the other day.  But they wouldn't let him come home. 
Me & Maggy though want to thank everyfurry for all the purrs 'n' prayers, cause we
know they are helping.  Maybe our Poppy will come home
when he finds his thumbkin ~ I'll have to go ask the ZH about that...
