After the heat come the storms! A half-second later and this photo would never have happened, as the sky had darkened suddenly and unexpectedly, thunder struck loudly to be followed by lightning and as the lightning sparked June had already made her own "lightning speed dash" to hide in the closet!
We chose this picture to alter for CATURDAY ART and for SATURDAY'S CRITTERS, thinking it might be fun to see if it could be reworked, as always with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, to be even more ominous and threatening than the original. So many tools were used on the original photo and in creating the background and multiple layers that I'm not able to share the process today ... suffice it to say there were just a lot, a whole lot of them! BOOM!

That art is wonderful, really! I hate thunderstorms and would have followed June into the closet!
ReplyDeleteForgot to ask, is it okay to add to my folder of favourite photos, just for personal viewing?
ReplyDeleteWe had storms here, too...from Thursday night through Friday afternoon. Boom is right!! Hope your hiding spot was safe, June...and that now you are out and about once again.
ReplyDeleteWow June, that is a dramatic scene! Both the original and the reworked version are intense!
ReplyDeleteI'm right behind you, Juney! Fabulous artwork!
ReplyDeleteThe art is wonderful! We had a doozy last weekend, woke me up. Storms never seemed to bother my angels, but I'd be the one freaking out!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe thunderstorms are scary, June has a good idea to hide.
I love both photos, well done!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your critter post.
Take care, have a great weekend.
Wow, that turned out great.
ReplyDeletewe have had a lot of lightning in the past 10 days and none of the three of us like it. We do like the ART today
ReplyDeleteJune your mind's eye did a great capture of how looked after your lightning quick departure
ReplyDeleteKudos
Hugs cecilia
That was a dramatic picture before the editing, but it's even more dramatic after!
ReplyDeleteLightning is scary stuff, June!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic! Poor thing, you look so scared.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting a little thunderstorm right now! They seem to pop up out of nowhere. Cute cat pics!
ReplyDeleteJune certainly has the relevant expression !!
ReplyDeleteI came back after reading your comment. How sweet that you looked at my blog and the article too. I love it here in Florida. Thanks for visiting! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteLove the photo and art! In the closet is a good place to wait out a storm.
ReplyDeleteYou look very surprised. XO
ReplyDeleteLulu: "NO THUNDERSTORMS!!! Bad enough we had base booms all last week. I was a nervous wreck under Dada's desk! Mama finally had to give me my Sileo and put my Mutt Muffs on me and then I went to sleep."
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art sweet June! Those boomers are no fun.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that sounds like some scary boomy flashy stuff, Juney. We love how your art tunred out, Mom Ann!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done! Yes those storms do pop up and when the lightening strikes, it's quick.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you, June. Thunderstorms are scary!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like quite an intense moment captured just in time! It's impressive how you transformed the image to be even more ominous.
ReplyDeleteWonderful art. Looks great :-D
ReplyDeletePoor June, you look so startled!
ReplyDeleteThose big eyes! June, we have had our share of thunder booms lately but I don't think the sky looked that frightening. I head for our safe closet if it gets too scary too. Both photos make beautiful art.
ReplyDeleteOoo, just looking at that second picture makes me shake and shiver... Xena
ReplyDeleteJune ~ you are so precious and brave too ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Your skills with Adobe are amazing. Quite the amazing photo showing how impressive those thunderstorms were. Well done. Hang in there, June-we know those storms can be disruptive to tender animal psyches. Mommy loves you and will protect you 'pawfectly.'
ReplyDeleteoh you did a PAWESOME job with that!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a very ominous looking backdrop for you, June. We don't like the big BOOMS either and we have had way too many of them. And then the other kind of big BOOMS will be here this week with all the fireworks. Stay safe and dry and cool.
