It's the end of 🔵Polka Dot Week🔵at Zoolatry. Bet you thought, ohmycat, ohmydog ... if I have to leave one more comment about polka dots, I'm never visiting Zoolatry or June ever again!  

Well, Mom did her Polka Dot art gallery thing for today, and MEOW, I did my Polka Dot art gallery thing for today and then ... "that's all folks!".🔵

POLKA DOT WEEK (THE CHAIR)

As Polka Dot Week comes to a close (officially tomorrow) ~ though in full disclosure, it will never truly close as my life is surrounded and enhanced by my dots ~ it seems appropriate to show you what the Polka Dot Chair is best for!  How it serves its main purpose.  How it gives cat comfort day in and day out.  Our My chair gives to us me the purrfect place to ~ yes, you guessed ~ to snooze, to doze, to nod off, do drift away, indeed to enjoy that awesome time known to all as a catnap.

POLKA DOT WEEK (THE ELEGANT CAT)

So, I am still pretty much in my "kitten time", I mean I won't be two-years old until the end of March. But when we were planning my Polka Dot Week, Mom said "how about one new photo, one with you looking more grown up, not so kitten-like with your big round eyes ... serious and elegant, you know ... give me that look!"

So, I did!

POLKA DOT WEEK (ON TOP OF MY CHAIR)

Most of the time I am not a "lap cat".  This is rather distressing to my Mom.  Oh, when I see that "brusher" in her hand, or hear the words "want some brushies?", believe me, I come running from anywhere I may be, because I do love those brushie times on her lap.  But the minute I decide they are over and done with, I am down and away.  

So when she sits down in the evening, in our my polka dot chair, to watch a movie, you will not find me on her lap! BUT you will find me -- always -- on the back of the chair, where I can watch the world go by, observe apartment activities.  

The top of my chair is one of my happy places, and up there I can also protect my humom from ever present danger ... And when appropriate, I will comb the hairs atop her head.  If she should forget my 8 pm treat time, the top of the head is easily swatted as is deserved ...

 

POLKA DOT WEEK (THE GIFT)

I chose these pictures today because actually they're my Mom's fave photos, she says I'm posing so sweetly, with my paws crossed just like a little lady!  And believe me, friends, it is not often that I am very lady-like!  But today is sort of a special day here, so I'm going to (try) to be on my best behavior, do whatever my Mom wants me to do and not do the things I should not do and well, be her best kitty all day long, cause I love her.  Well, I love her today, and every day.  And she loves me today, and every day.  Loving one another is a gift.

 

POLKA DOT WEEK (MY SUNDAY SELFIE)

WHY POLKA DOTS?

When I was first adopted (a year ago October), the hu-mom only had one chair in her studio apartment.  She had just come here herself the month before and had only started to furnish the place ~ I was the most impawtent piece of new "furniture" obviously!  Meow!  

She used to say her favorite colors were reds-and-greens ... but now, suddenly ... this dark blue-and-white polka dot chair was the dominant feature (other than me, of course) in our new home, so it became the focus for our decorating plan!  And I loved that chair, and polka dots became "my thing" too.  

So, begone reds-and-greens ... hello to blue-and-white and hello to polka dots ... and that's my story and I'm sticking to it!  

And this week I'm celebrating with all my special and favorite polka dot pictures ... so join me each day if you have time.  OK?  And I'm starting with my polka dot Sunday Selfie!

 

POLKA DOT WEEK (IN MY CLOSET)

Here's a little peek in my closet.  Yes, I have my very own closet (remember the fact vs. fiction thing says Mom!).  Well, if I did have my own closet this is what it would look like and this is what would be in it, OK?  My dresses are all in the laundry right now ... and my winter coat is in the front hall coat closet.  But see my shoes!  And my accessories.  A few toys, too!  And when I'm dressed I can stand on my velvet stool and make sure I look purr-fect by checking me in my kitty mirror!  And my mask is in easy paw-reach for when we go out ... my fuzzy slippers are brand new so I don't wear my shoes on table tops!  I like my closet!

P.S.  Mom says it took a long time for us to get my closet ready to "show you" so we're showing it to our friends for Caturday Art today, sponsored by Athena Cat Goddess, Wise Kitty.  I wonder if other kitties and woofies have their own closets ...

POLKA DOTS and LITTER GLITTER

If you happened to see my post on Tuesday, you know that I/June "do it all" when it comes to this blog.  So, I told the hu-mom, I'm doing Polka Dot Week, that's right ~ Saturday to Saturday, all my favoritist and bestest polka dot pictures, old or new, seen or unseen, I went through my photo files and picked the ones I liked ~ just to share with you!

June, please don't stand on the table, especially with your shoes on!

But, these are a pair of my best shoes!  I love these shoes ... in fact, for tomorrow, I'm going to give all my friends a peek into my own closet (with more shoes)!  Yes, I have my very own closet with all my polka dot things there!  That will be the official start of Polka Dot Week!  I hope they'll come visit ... 

June! Now, either take your shoes off, or get off the table!  Or use the boot scraper!

Boot scraper?  Whatever are you talking about, Mom?

This is a "boot scraper" June!  In our WALK WITH ME post on Wednesday, we had seen many of these along the streets.  But we mistook them for "hitching posts"!  Which was rather silly of us seeing how low to the pavement they were.  Thankfully our very good friends, Benji and Dalton from Meezer's Mews and Terrieristical Woofs knew it was a "boot scraper" and kindly wrote to tell us so (thank you, woofies).  In fact, I am going to put one of these by your litter-loo-box for you and the next time you decide to get on the table with your shoes on ~ you'd best use the boot scraper first!  I see all the litter-glitter you've left on the table top ... it's like sparkling little polka dots ...
